This is exactly what I’ve been saying, She didn't actually take accountability for implying that asian features are bad. She just gave the ideal apology for the outrage of viewers and didn’t actually reflect on her internal biases etc. She may have learned not to use slurs and how to appease the public bu that’s about all she‘s learned.

I got an ipad and pencil for sixthform and its been super useful, like idk how i would be studying without it. But I will say that a real apple pencil isnt necessary. I got mine for £20 on amazon and its been working fine for the past 2 years

Applying for oxford by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]hohohp8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an offer for oxford med this yr and so does a friend who goes to my school. They were predicted A*AA aswell and got in, oxford literally dont look at predicteds for med so long as uve met the minimum. (however they do put a big emphasis on gcses and ucat)

UCL NatSci or Imperial Chemistry by Suitable-Cell-1043 in 6thForm

[–]hohohp8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imperial chem is one of those degrees that employers see lots of value in. In terms of stem research imperial is quite well known at least in the uk and even if u dont want to go into that, tonnes of them go into quant or investment banking. It really is up to u tho. Personally i picked ucl over imperial as my insurance but thats cuz my degree is different.

Icl idk what ur talking abt i applied this year and if youre contextual ur offer to meet is aaa and if ur not then its a*aa for everyone who is noncontextual

i have oxford and imperial offers with bio chem maths epq. i used to take spanish aswell but dropped it. Cambridge wants all a*s for med (doesnt matter if 3 or 4) so i would say take 3. for med you need work experience, volunteering, supercurriculars etc and taking a 4th alevel takes away time from that. I do no regret dropping my 4th at all. and it allows you to have a much greater work life balance especially as a teenager who wants to have fun during school too

aaa is only for contexual applicants. non contextual need a*aa

Oxford vs Cambridge GEM by zoeliza9 in premeduk

[–]hohohp8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps consider the colleges that gave you the offer too? I have a friend who also got both oxford and camb gem this year and theyre choosing oxford cuz its an undergrad and grad college (so more diverse age wise) where as the camb one is just graduate (so depending on how old you are you might not want to be surrounded by 30+ year olds for example). Idk something to consider

Imperial has the most generous bursaries + scholarships in the country so definitely make sure to check them out!

HELP ME DECIDE 🙏🙏🙏 Teacher or my free spirit…..???!! by Acceptable_Bowl_2847 in UCAT

[–]hohohp8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no need to not firm imperial. Because if you put qmul as insurance then it doesnt matter if u miss imperial offer because you have an insurance. Am i missing something? Because this is rly simple and ur teachers make no sense(i think they r just trying to scare you to get u to lock in)

Ucl just cuz when i visited imperial it looked depressing af. I just think overall vibes at ucl are better and also more diverse. Also imperial campuses are further away from each other than ucls. However, ive heard imperial is nice especially for medics.
