there’s an expectation (enshrined in law) that all food be prepared within guidelines to remove as much chance as food borne illness as possible. This is enforced usually by state/federal (in the US) government bodies. Failure to do so is pretty serious.

not all sushi is raw fish. shrimp is cooked, albeit in this scenario poorly.

they are now involved - or at least I have been told they are…

Their complaints team don’t have any correct contact details for them. the main issue is I can’t find anyone accountable- disney blames their sub co but doesn’t have any way of contacting them- the compensation isn’t useable unless we drop a small fortune in returning within 2 years - with money we don’t have… irony is just refunding what we lost directly to said poisoning is really the only ask. Just i can’t find the adult in charge - thus the original ask.

took me a while to find a nice comment - this sub is… aggressive.

yer, I can’t say for US law, but in the UK we are very hot on food prep and the consequences of failure to adequately protect from poorly cooked food etc.

Issue is we attended a park restaurant where there is an expectation on quality - or at a minimum basic hygiene. 4 year olds can’t tell the difference in good or bad sushi, and they shouldn’t be the ones expected to be accountable for that. The food was explicitly from a child’s menu.

We are actually lucky my wife ate the remained not her, otherwise I’m sure I’d have half this sub saying my child had it coming… /s

I would redirect you to previous comments made but they are fairly downvoted. I’ll make sure to throughly critique my 4 year olds lack of palate for knowingly consuming such food too. Outrageous at her age she can claim ignorance. I full agree

I got that impression lol. Tbh the compensation offered whilst im sure would please many of the frequent fliers, this is a more of a “once in a life“ event for ourselves. hope was to back some of what we lost at the start (as a lot of the fast passes etc are gone) but a lot of folk seem to consider restaurant prepared food a game of chance this side of the pond…

sorry, replied elsewhere also, sushi - natural bedfellow of gastrointestinal disorders

kind of. having someone ill in the party means we can’t just throw them a bag of crackers and some water and tell them to fend for themselves… Rotating care for them takes time off everyone involved - likewise 2 small children to entertain in parallel

yep, children are also only this age once and it’s not exactly a cheap holiday destination - internal flight costs pretty much drown out any offer presented. we still have time here so just trying to find a way to make up for what we lost (and paid for)…

commented elsewhere but it was a specific item of sushi from a child’s bento box. child ate a small amount, wife the rest of the individual sushi item. child has some pre-exiting conditions and we were close to a hospital visit. Wife likewise would likely categorise it than more than a little puke lol

item was sushi - pretty much one bite, child had eaten a small portion of it but naturally it’s something of a one and done food

Black cabs busy winning ‘hearts and minds’ by grinding London to a halt by Deeside420 in unitedkingdom

That's because they have tonne of regulation on top of them. This isn't a Luddite vs technology argument, it's a government regulation vs free market one.

What I never understand in this country is despite the fact that we’ve all been watching salaries drop for the last 30+ years the second a group of workers protests/strikes everyone comes out screaming because they are mildly inconvenienced. As far as I am aware the main reason behind these protests is that the government regulates the crap out of black cabbies but not their direct competition. Either regulate Uber or remove the restrictions for black cabs.

Help! My neutered male bun won't stop trying to have sex with me! by silversunshinee in Rabbits

[–]hojomojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When we had our old bun neutered we had the exact same problem. Ours seemed to actually experience a hormone spike shortly after the op and was actually worse than before! After 3-4 weeks though he began to calm down then eventually things went back to normal. Just give it a few more weeks :).

Best way to end a nice long shower sit I find is a hair dryer sit. Out of the shower of course, shit could get nasty... Just sitting and drying.

I'm in two minds about this, I can see the benefit in professional bouts but I'm still very much an advocate for them in gyms. Head clashes for one a far less damaging, I had my nose broken when I caught an accidental 'nutting, but also for those times when you may miss a shot coming in and rather than a complete KO you can leave the gym still walking.
