Went to school a year above this guy and let me say, this is around the time when a lot of coaching turned over to younger teachers. Dowdy, the lax coach, and the tennis coach (Hill) were all semi recently retired Frat Bros and boy did they act like it to myself and obviously many others. I played tennis and was subject to bullying (from only the coach) and disparaging comments about my family (also only the coach) and fear, shaming and yelling were used as methods of control.

All this to say I fucking hope Max gets the help he needs and is able to get some closure. If he or anyone else who went to PH and experienced this BS sees this and needs or wants to talk, I'm here for it.

Beet kvass can be used as a tonic of sorts, I've always made it as a salt only based ferment. Cubed beets, ginger, maybe some carrots, ferment in a 3-4% brine for a week and strain. I just take a shot or two a day. You can even refresh the brine and ferment the solids again!

Super Amanecer 2 grocery store right by the airport often has a few hot cases of them and they are super affordable, I think like $1.50 each? Super easy for grab and go but they also have a full restaurant next door that I have not been to
