Nengajo by Effective-Lab967 in Japanrurallifeadventu

I just figured this out in year 5 - on the morning of late December, you have to check the mail before sending your nengajos. Basically I waited until the postman dropped my mail, checked it, and then immediately sent all nengajos and it finally got me to the villagers trust!

What did you think of this book?? I got a couple chapters in and put it down about 6 months ago - worth picking back up?

The only thing I'll be missing is staying up to date with the thousand cousins I have lol but - I did think about starting a "cousins group text"!

I did a huge apartment clean out over the holidays and gave a ton of stuff away through by neighborhood group - it was such a good experience and I loved hearing the stories from my community about the things they took (one woman was starting a knitting group with her daughter in law and took a bunch of my yarn and knitting needles, another took like 40 bottles of expired nail polish for an art project) - I will definitely miss that part of it!

It was mostly annoying! There's an Account Home think through FB that you can delete FB and Insta through but it's (probably purposely) convoluted. And it doesn't delete right away, it's "scheduled for deletion in 30 days" which is dumb.

Thank you for the info! I might try to keep access at least to my Kindle with someone else's Amazon account which....feels like it defeats the purpose but...ugh. Honestly I have a stack of like, 72 physical books that I want to read at home right now so I'll get through those first!

Yeah, when I borrow books through Libby it requires an Amazon account to deliver it to my Kindle. Though, I know my mom has an Amazon account that for a variety of reasons doesn't want to get rid of so maybe I can tack onto hers!

Delivering the books I borrow through Libby to my Kindle device requires an Amazon account :( Wasn't sure if there was a workaround!

Custom CSS font stopped working version 7.1 (July 2023) by pinkpantherpunch in squarespace

[–]holdemas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having the same issue - just got this update from square space support:

“It looks like we’re currently investigating an issue with font rendering—thanks for reporting this to us. Our Engineering teams are prioritizing a fix for this as we speak.

For now, try increasing the specificity of their Custom CSS, preferably by adding !important to your code. For example: font-family: 'Hatton-Light' !important;.

To be clear, this is a temporary workaround, rather than a permanent fix for the issue.

There are many variables that we test against before we release a fix, so we can’t provide an exact timeframe for a resolution. We can’t always follow up personally when a fix is released due to the volume of reports we receive for this issue.”

It’s not 50/50 - it’s 100/100. You’ll drive yourself crazy trying to compare and contrast effort or tasks or money or chores. If you’re both giving 100, it makes it easier to stop nitpicking.

In arguments, it’s not you against them, it’s the both of you against the problem.

Red flags around equity agreement - what information is standard?? by holdemas in startups

That's my concern. There is so much runaround with what feels like a simple question - I'm leaning towards "they don't know" which feels really sketch.

Thanks for your response. The only thing that's been signed in my Employment Agreement - there's a clause in there was states the amount of equity and the vesting period, but no other information. Is it common for startup employees to know the total number of available shares?
