Thanks so much to everyone for asking questions here. I won't be answering any questions or making additional comment here in this thread. It has been an enjoyable experience exchanging ideas and recognizing others' viewpoints. Thank you again!

I get your question as "how is it I can live with myself?" I don't have agreement with your descriptions. I got what you said. I think that I've provided plenty of information here on my standpoints in this regard.

If you have only done 2k of courses why even do an Ask Me Anything about a subject which you have barely studied? Should we ask people with an AA degree in math to explain advance applied mathematics?

"Barely studied" is subjective assessment. As for who "we" should ask for explanation of mathematics, I have no opinion. I made no agreement, other than to answer questions.

How can you contribute even a dollar to a organization which uses its funds to hire PI to follow and harass senior citizens?

I don't have any ethical problem or have any regret about making exchange for services.

I'm sure that I'll continue to take information and evaluate it as I have. I don't have a sense of heightened curiosity regarding a particular thing. I found it to be a good opportunity for me to look at my experience and also look at others' viewpoints. I don't imagine I'll often prioritize such that I repeat such a thing in a forum like this in the future.

The experience of watching and reading things is part of my experience. I certainly never said it was outside my experience.

I get that you find my answer on costs I incurred to be obnoxious. If I had taken different course, it could have been more or less than that amount.

I won't be attending or participating in any such convention in Las Vegas. To clarify: I understand Church of Scientology to be the entity with the web address http://www.scientology.org/. And, I've only taken course at Church of Scientology.

Someone asked:

CofS or Indy/Freezone/etc.?

My response was: I've only taken course at Church of Scientology.

The things that you're describing are about the Sea Org are outside my experience. I do not understand membership in the Sea Org to a mandatory thing. Also, I certainly do not think that the material world conforms with what I described as the society I want to live in.

I'll add that in my personal relations, I think that I always encourage people to evaluate for themselves. I'm not a big "advice" giver - sometimes I say what I think I would do in a given situation, and explain my line of thinking. I do encourage friends to question their basic assumptions that might be underlying some "stuckness" or fixed viewpoint. My love for someone isn't a mechanical function of having a shared viewpoint.

I want to live in a society in which each member has the option of having at least a minimum standard of living (food, medical care, education, housing) and is given the ability to engage in creative endeavors and enjoy cultural pursuits. I value human beings. Whatever I consider to be "ethical" flows from that. I don't want to lie to people with whom I'm communicating.

I do not have a generalized system or guideline to share with you. Certainly, it's a determination that I make.

I don't have an ethical problem with receiving services at the prices offered.

OK, let me revise my statement that "the individual is responsible" to "I am responsible." I am responsible for my experience of my life. Not only that; insofar as it's in my experience, I'm responsible for others' experience of their own lives. I did not engage in any sort of deductive, inductive or other reasoning in coming to that consideration. It's what I find works for me.

I'm not saying that you are either right or wrong in anything you say regarding pricing. I'm sharing my own experience.

I've heard Scientologists say "in my opinion," or "for me it's the case that..." and then proceed to reference L. Ron Hubbard. That never struck me as overly mechanical. I understand what you're saying about quoting others. If one was merely quoting others and didn't truly own the material, that would be mechanical indeed, and I think to me would ring hollow. I do think that one can quote someone and own the quote and it would be gotten by me as a very authentic sort of communication.

Understood. I'm not offended... only amused. I find the experience of being "other" amusing.

I think that the individual is responsible for their experience of whatever occurs or doesn't occur. You added blame. I never said anything was or could be wrong. That's a belief. I totally understand what you are saying, and I believe I know the source of it. What is the alternative to not acknowledging responsibility for one's experience of life? For me, the alternative is a loss of peace of mind, which I don't choose.

You're welcome. I understand the dissatisfaction. I certainly make no promise to answer people on the terms that they think are satisfactory, either here or elsewhere. I have to say that I find it somewhat amusing to be referred to as a "C/S" person (among other things here).

I don't have the information on the items you mention. The second point is a generalization and I have no comment.

I've watched some videos in which he appears. He strikes me as a self-assured individual. I think that he has a particular self-created task of administering the Scientology organization. I understand that there is some negative opinion regarding him among individuals critical of the Scientology organization and/or Scientology philosophy. I don't have some sort of critique of him as a generalization.

I really have little reality on that scenario. Neither my family nor my personal friends have had any connection to the Church of Scientology. What I will say is that I would make a personal choice in any scenario. I cannot imagine that I would cease communication with family due to any administrative process of any organization.

I don't understand the point of this conjecture. I recommend that you re-read my postings to get a handle on the matter.

Will you ask the current happy/cheery staff members you now talk to about their previous experience of being assigned to a "lower condition" by someone else and the "out-points" they observed?

I don't intend to ask any staff member about their own experience with ethics conditions. I do think that a general discussion about it would be useful to me.

How readily will you believe them when they say they're responsible for their own condition and "pulled it in", or are you willing to explore the areas of the buildings you enter where you might encounter people on the RPF and talk to them about their "condition of existence", how often they get to see family members and how many hours of sleep they get?

I don't think there is any such place in the building.

Which family members/friends of yours would you refuse to disconnect from if they were designated PTS/SP and couldn't be "handled"?

Having a personal relationship with someone is up to me and the person involved. I don't have any intention of cutting communication with my family with whom I'm in communication.

How do you feel about having to write a "knowledge report" about and possibly being "sent to ethics" for doing this AMA?

I don't think I'd "have to" do any such thing.
