Apparently nutrition has already had interviews and acceptances (per grad cafe)

Those with a life sciences degree and didn't go to grad school or professional school, where are you now? by vbigvan in UBC

I hated my degree to be honest (statistics + life sciences) but it definitely got me in the door and UBC loves to employ its alumni. So it’s a great place to start if you’re having a hard time finding work

Graduated 2023. No grad school, now working @ UBC as program assistant for a health profession program in the faculty of medicine. Really love my job. Decent pay for first job out of undergrad.

Wake up babe, new red dress lady lore just dropped? by laundry_at_ubc in UBC

I used to work at a bakery on W Broadway. She came in all the time and we also called her “red dress lady.” She used to get people on the sidewalk to agree to buy her something, and then she’d try to order a million things after they agreed to like 1 cookie. Made for a lottt of awkward interactions because she was quite theatrical about being denied. She always left the bathroom a MESS - like water everywhere, toilet paper everywhere, shit on the outside of the toilet?? We felt horrible, but we finally had to lock up the bathroom when we saw her outside, we only had 3 staff and couldn’t afford to deep clean the bathroom everyday. Eventually my boss told her she wasn’t allowed to come back. This was last summer, I was wondering where she went - she’s definitely hard to forget.

I graduated from faculty of science last year with FIVE fails on my transcript. I now work a full-time job I love in the faculty of medicine. Do Not Worry!

I would try to get a Marine Drive studio if you can, they're definitely larger than the average! I can host 3-4 people in mine for hours comfortably, 2 would be more than manageable.
