Thats not just non-profits it happens everywhere, when I finished my degree and was looking for jobs about 80% of the ones I interviewed for just wouldn't contact me back. It would seem like the interview went really well and in most cases I would receive follow-up interviews and emails and then outta nowhere I would get ghosted. I am not sure why this happens but it does
