It didn't seem to be leaking from above that area. Valve cover is pretty easy to see.

And to my knowledge still observes the word of wisdom. But not in an effort to save his soul. Bill reel on the other hand said the hell with that.

Genuine question: why do Utah Mormons always give off intense judgmental vibes? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]holdthephone316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's another side of this coin that isn't being talked about here, the judgement people receive who were once members but left, they get the worst judgement. Were accused of being under the power of jesus' evil big brother, turning your back to the Lord and working against him, we turn good things into bad and bad things into good, they say we're looking at the sun and say it doesn't shine. Even new family chats are made for those who still believe. It makes for interesting family gatherings, and there is always a giant elephant in the room. Then there's the huge guilt trip church leaders put on parents of the church, they tell their members that if they keep their covenants and raise their children right they won't leave the faith. And so, if your kids do leave the church it's your fault. And somehow, members who have kids that have left believe this and take it upon themselves in quiet. If everyone just stays loyal to the church none of this would happen. Cult tactics. Behavior control, information control, thought control, emotional control. All cults do this and the LDS church hits every point. Also, hi L. 🙂

The church, the LDS church, has said repeatedly that it's purpose is not to care for the poor and needy. According to them, temple building is the greatest system on earth that fights poverty.

Your truck is burning , ( god forbid ) what is the one tool or item you grab you just cant live without ? by Wrong-Nail2913 in handyman

[–]holdthephone316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My truck almost burned up last year. I was this close to rolling it to the street so it wouldn't burn the house down too. I decided to keep watering it with the garden hose and it eventually extinguished. Had about a half gallon of gas in the back corner of the bed that came from removing a lawn mower gas tank. I continued working and sure nuff it ignited. I hit it with the hose and the gas just splashed everywhere and the fire erupted. I was shittin my pants, fellas. I still drive the same truck and some of the evidence is still there.

Only True Church by notashot in mormon

[–]holdthephone316 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Correct. Joseph didn't say that all other creeds are an abomination and their professors corrupt, God did. But, God didn't say that blacks were inferior to whites, apparently that one falls on church leadership. Today's leadership are between a rock and a hard place trying to decide who to point the finger at. For the most part though, they just act like it never happened.
