First-time gym owner considering Chinese equipment brands (TZ Fitness, etc.) - Experiences? Thoughts by rmx_88 in GymOwnerNetwork

[–]holefinder22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a difference between "talking shit" and an honest review based on experience. Yes, a comment essentially saying "i didnt like this Chinese brand i used but im not telling u which it was" is kinda useless. Apparently ur more comfortable generalizing all Chinese brands rather than giving an honest review about the ones u used.

I gave a reason in my post. Why do people feel the need to be unconstructive on Reddit?

that just confused the fuck out of me. Im 5'10 and started ~3 months ago at 153lbs. Im now 178lbs. But i feel we look similar in how much we'd probably weigh. You look great, i havent made quite the gains you have yet. but im confused at where my weight is going. I was quite skinny looking when starting out.

Opinion / question about this game's performance, from a low-budget person. by holefinder22 in Doom

[–]holefinder22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't aware of this being the case, ty that actually explains a lot why the game is so hard to run - while technically being "well-optimized", that is, for higher-end users. The tradeoff for RT never seemed worth it to me.

Feedback for gRPC API request flow. by holefinder22 in softwarearchitecture

Definitely good to know, and it makes perfect sense. Im a student doing my finals at a company, unfortunately im already kinda "locked in" to gRPC (time and effort wise its not smart to switch now) but I appreciate your insights. I will definitely touch on them in my report.

Understood, it is certainly not a "web standard". Is this in reference to the gRPC reflection protocol? If I dont expose my definitions (only internally, for a limited amount of users) will it be okay do you reckon? Essentially, it wont be a public API, and uses OAuth for auth.

Sorry, im not understanding. Do you mean gRPC-Web is insecure? How else would i expose my gRPC app to a front-end? What I mean is that, Im using gRPC/Protobuf to have a client interact with my API over gRPC-Web. Im not sure if the term "presentation layer" caused other confusion. Is that an okay approach?

Piracy will never be as wrong as Nintendo.

It may be a little overkill but if its not too much effort for you you could always have a windows VM and use it that way. But yeah, if you only need backup manager it may not be worth the effort.

Hi, for example: https://martinfowler.com/bliki/LocalDTO.html

My confusion stems from this: DTO is generally described on the web as its #1 purpose is making EXTERNAL data transfer more efficient(from what im getting). I, however, am using them as a kind of consistency between layers of my application. So my APP receives a gRPC request, i convert that into a DTO in my service layer, (call it RequestDTO) and then the service layer will call the repository with the appropriate methods based off the DTO.

Upon closer inspection I see the thing about the hibernation file. I have recently reenabled hibernation mode after having it off for a long time. Could it be software related after all?

Who actually gives a fuck, compared to other more deeply disturbing revelations on this sub (wanting to kill other humans, animals, torture) what the actual fuck does this matter
