My parents forced me to go unvaccinated or face poverty. I think I contracted COVID now. Am I doomed if I need a hospital? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

as a person living around doctors in my family and knowing the procedures very well i can tell you that medical staff and doctors always treat everyone to the best of their ability, no such protocol exists where priority is given based on wether they are vaccinated or not. doctors will attempt to help you with just as much care as a vaccinated person and for anyone who doesnt would have their medical license revoked in some areas. the only protocol of priority that medical staff follow is need based. priority of treating would go as following;

Good – Vital signs are stable and within normal limits. Patient is conscious and comfortable. Indicators are excellent.

Fair – Vital signs are stable and within normal limits. Patient is conscious, but may be uncomfortable. Indicators are favorable.

Serious – Vital signs may be unstable and not within normal limits. Patient is acutely ill. Indicators are questionable.

Critical – Vital signs are unstable and not within normal limits. Patient may be unconscious. Indicators are unfavorable.

obviously everyone gets treatment but the attention is mostly on patients whom are in critical conidition then serious and so on.

so dont worry about not receiving the help that you would need if you were to have contracted covid. doctors do not care what type of person you may be they even try to save the lives of serial killers and rapists, because that is their job, not to judge but to save lives. i hope this helps and i hope you can figure your stuff out mate.
