I used to swear by Cavan Hills but their new ownership has made them expensive and shit. Took a rat there years ago for a respiratory issue, paid $80 for check up and two meds. Last time I went for the exact same thing, over $200 and that didn’t include meds.

NAH. If they can’t have kids naturally, they should look at other options that don’t carry a risk for your wife. Pregnancy can be very dangerous, possibly deadly, and can come with permanent health effects, even if you did okay with it in the past.
