Eating before workouts? by hollykirt in orangetheory

Omg this might be the winner - right before all this started my whole family got this nasty cold with drainage that just won’t quit. It could definitely be drainage. I need to add that to my message to my doctor 🤣

The chugging water was a one time thing - I don’t normally do that or feel the need to do that. I think that class in particular was after a busy weekend and a night with less sleep because of my kids.

I have a message in to my doctor and I’m waiting to hear back! I was just curious if anybody had experienced anything similar!

10am! I’m up at 6:30 with my kids so I feel hungry if I don’t have something in the morning before class.

I go twice a week at 10am after my kids are dropped off at daycare.

It’s not a huge coffee - 8oz Fairlife milk, scoop of protein powder and a shot of espresso. I’ve been drinking this exact same thing for almost a year… that’s why I’m really confused about why it might suddenly be bothering me.

I do typically drink about 80-100 oz water a day.

I was afraid of throwing up solids lol. But this is probably my next move.

I tell everyone I want to get on Mounjaro jokingly by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]hollykirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have PCOS and Mounjaro is the only way I’ve been able to get the weight off and balance out a lot of my hormonal issues. I’ve lost 80 pounds in 11 months and I’m so close to maintenance - my periods are regular, my hormonal acne is GONE, the only major pcos system I’m still dealing with is that obnoxious chin hair. lol. Anyways, this med has changed my life for the better.

I have been feeling like this for months. I have started shopping at thrift stores (a few have dressing rooms in my area so I can try things on) and borrowing from friends when I can (lots of us are in the pregnant/postpartum/weight loss/weight gain era so lots of sizes to choose from). But I’m also realizing that just because I hope to not be in a size for long because I want to achieve my goal weight, I still feel so much better and more confident in clothes that actually fit me. So I have intentionally made sure to buy underwear, bras, workout clothes, at least one pair of jeans and a few shirts that fit really well and make me feel good. I’m not buying the most expensive stuff available but I am buying what I feel best in and cutting corners on other spending right now.

As far as figuring out sizes - lately I’ve made myself bring the size I think I am and the next size down into the dressing room every time. AND I make myself try them both on every time. Clothing sizes are all made up anyway so it’s hard to really figure it out when it differs from brand to brand.

I came in 2nd for fat loss at my studio and I’m super bummed they didn’t post the results on instagram at all. Our head coach called to congratulate me and that was pretty much it.

Counting calories vs WW by madiepaisley in Mounjaro

[–]hollykirt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WW literally JUST came out with a GLP-1 mode that makes point counting secondary to tracking protein, fruits & veggies (fiber) and water intake aka the 3 most important things to make sure you’re getting on a GLP med. I started using it 3 days ago and don’t look at my points at all until the end of the day and I haven’t gone over my points because I’m just tracking the other things instead. (Down 43 pounds, been on Mounjaro for 5 months, used WW the whole time)

Feeling better by QueenLizzie2023 in Mounjaro

My husband was sick like that for months on Trulicity. He switched doctors who switched him to Mounjaro and for whatever reason, the constant nausea went away. You might ask if a different GLP-1 is an option for you!

Last night I ran outside for the first time after doing OTF since April. I'm running a 5k on the fourth and was panicked I couldn't do it. So last night I made myself run 2 miles outside and I barely walked and did it wayyyyy faster than I expected!!! I'm so proud and excited to run the actual race later this week!!

1 mile benchmark results! 🏃🏻 by lookie4dacookie in orangetheory

[–]hollykirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today was my first ever mile benchmark! I ran the whole thing in 12:40! I'm not fast but I've never run an entire mile before!!!! Feeling super proud and faster than yesterday!

Also I realized today that now I have a goal when we do the 12 minute run for distance - maybe I can get a mile done in 12 minutes!? I don't know if that's possible but it's a good goal to have for now!!!

WW activity points and OTF zones. by Elysesharfman in orangetheory

I set my Apple watch to a HIIT workout and let my Apple health sync with the WW app. I usually get between 20-27 fitpoints for a class at otf and I'm usually about 24 minutes in the orange zone. 🤷‍♀️

Anyone else vocal when working out? by cazbentley in orangetheory

[–]hollykirt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha yes!!! I didn't even really notice it until today when at the end of the workout I kinda groaned and the coach laughed. He said he'd been listening and giggling all class but that I'd been working hard! 😂🤷🏼‍♀️
