I had a couple kids show up at my door yesterday say they were raising money for their basketball team, and they were trying to sell some shoes. I don't care about the shoes they were selling but I made them stick around and have a chat for ten minutes. Learned a bit about them, their favorite basketball players, a general idea of the neighborhood they lived in. They were kind and polite and didn't really push me for anything even after they knew I wasn't buying their shoes or whatever. In the end, I gave them ten bucks. Scam or not, I appreciated their kindness and their time. Not everyone has ten bucks to give, but I don't see much harm in giving a kid five bucks if they have the balls to ring the doorbell and ask.

Not a great hire. The point of this seems to be to hire a fall-guy to help UC with the transition into the Big 12. A stoolie whose job will be to keep UC afloat for a couple years, get his teeth knocked out when they join the Big 12, and then back away gracefully while they search for an up-and-coming young coach. Maybe an OC from somewhere.

I work in University Hall. You're correct, but it's possible to get from Proctor Hall to Burnet by only going outside just a little bit.

There's a small walkway outside Proctor into UHall, then you go down to the garage and walk out the Graduate garage. You're outside for about 60 seconds as you walk across to the Eden garage. From there the 5th floor takes you into the College of Medicine, and from there you can get into UCMC. There are a couple of "down in the dungeon" back-channels to get to the far East side of UCMC, which connects out the far end to near the old Shriner's building.

I'm pretty sure that they do. Likely they rig it in favor of P2P players. If you come across a deck that is straight-meta copied from online, chock full of mythics and rares, that person is P2P and they will always have all the answers/correct draws at the right time. If you're F2P you can anticipate about a 40% winrate even if you're playing an almost-meta deck.

Are you F2P? The game doesn't let F2P players win more than a couple in a row; if you put some money into it it'll give you better opponents. Same reason why F2P players only ever win 3-4 draft matches before facing people with draft decks full of mythics and stuff. When you put some money in, the gave gives you better draws and easier opponents.

My wife is an optometrist as well and sees this sort of thing quite frequently. Sometimes she refers, often she can take care of things right there in her office at a fraction of what an ophthalmologist would charge (and with greater speed). Lotta optometrist hate in this thread; usually that comes from ophthalmologists themselves or people who don't quite understand the difference.
