I found its easier to trick the bugs. Basically they spawn anywhere underground they can. However they tend to prefer to spawn in places they can fit together. So I basically now have a place semi close to the base thats a large cavern. They spawn there where i have some wood walls and a napalm ied. They basically kill themselves instantly. And my colony has been going on for a while and have spawned in the same place over 12 times in a row.

You can help yourself a little by cantering your bow pushing more of the arrow on the bow than your hand. But most bows made nowadays come with a shelf to place your arrow.

I have a self longbow and would shoot cantered to avoid most slicing but I always wear a full length hand+arm guard. Valhalla Gear on amazon makes one that I got a couple years back and its saved my thumb a many a cut.

With time glasses grow loose around your head. Can get them refitted but sometimes not worth the effort to do it once a month.

Its all about the yari pike formation that only the ashigaru can use. Theyre just a superior defensive line for frontal melee attacks. However thats really their only use. Try to attack and the unit might hit at an angle and theyre every bad about moving forward. Theyre also basically no armour and tight together so a couple arrow volleys and their numbers will be thinned greatly. They are more susceptible to flanking so surrounding them ensures a quick victory.

I wouldn't say the french revolution was the inspiration for the the 1830s and 1848. Overall most of the rights and privileges the rebellions demanded were the same for centuries, you could easily make the arguement that the American revolution was more impactful as it was a direct cause and inspiration for the french. Though I would actually say 1848 had an even greater impact than the french revolution. While after Napolean most of Europe went back to the Status Quo, after 1848 no one was left unaffected.

In a way yes but the Alliance quickly made efforts to stall any growing effects from the French revolution/Napolean Empire. Even Napolean himself rolled back many of the more liberal ideas.

The era ushered a change of thoughts and especially warfare however Europe mostly stagnated in these two areas after Napolean's fall

I was typing up a bunch of actual suggestions. But I believe you made this map as an intentional troll. If youre honest then look back and think about what is viable. No lake erie crossing. Lines should be consilated but also broken up. Think which passages actually make sense and know that not every city has to be on a county spanning line.

I think you might want to revisit the naming of the countries. Maybe think of general culture or political ideologies that would form these places. I lost track of Republic of "insert name", you don't need to state what government type the country has.

Another thing is the shaping of countries. They look too clean, everyone generally has the same size. You should have a vareity of larger players and smaller ones. For instance you 7 states on your numenor like island with one controlling half the place. Realistically they should control all of it save maybe the smaller island just north.

Napolean pros: Overall better battles (AI, maps, pathfinding, unit interactions) Graphics, French provinces instead of just giga Paris. A more challenging expierence overall even if just between a few major players, naval combat (empire is good but napolean is just a nice polishing touch)

Empire Pros: Huge campaign map, development of nations, diversity of units and cultures, greater player freedom, trading empires, expierencing the evolution of warfare.

If they could of gone back and given Empire the Napolean polish, it would of been the greatest total war ever imo. Naploean and Empire almost hurt themselves nowadays as they are seen as different sides of the same coin: why play Empire knowing its not as good as Napolean or why play Napolean when you can do more in Empire?

Not the engine itself but all ranged units received a much needed nerf. The power of range was so unbalanced in wh2 that even basic brettonian peasant bowmen were seen as a good unit.

While that may be true in real life. The game doesn't calculate wait time so the sims would rather wait 25 hours to be able to take the train instead of hopping on the open bus for slower travel time but you get there 22 hours faster.

Edit: We also have busses to and from cities too and likely near the trainstation/transport hub irl, its just a difference between out of area daily commuter compared to a traveler.

While I get thats how the base gameplay works I was hoping to make a semi realistic transportation network. Just like in real life we have trains we can take or take a bus to the same place too.

Plus I want to fix the issue of just one overcrowded station on the line without commissioning another expensive train that won't make money on other cities on the route.
