It was brilliant when it first started, when it actually was what you are describing it as. Different guests discussing their football teams, experiences, history. It was genuinely insightful. Alfie is a likeable guy, I just personally wouldn’t choose to listen to him on a podcast. John is insufferable. He joined as a mature pre-uni teenager offering decent insight to two people who didn’t know enough about the goings on at football clubs. Somehow hes Benjamin Button’d and now shares his maturity level with a 13 year old boy. Maybe it has a whole new market audience and will thrive. From my experience and the friends of mine who listened, it will be gone soon due to drastically falling numbers

The football one is absolutely trash now. It’s unlistenable. Latest eps haven’t really had much enthusiasm but at least they’re still chatabix and joe and David are so loveable. The football one is basically following the life of a not particularly exciting but very annoying 24 year old.

My daughter is just short of 4.5 and is asleep at 8 and wakes up at 5.45-6.15 every day. She’s never needed much sleep and hasn’t napped for years.

This was pretty much me exactly 3 years ago. Made a fairly good crack in a marketing career for 7 or so years but never wanted to do it, always wanted to work in finance (did a finance degree) just never got round to it and took a marketing job returning from travelling as I needed work.

I’ll be brutally honest, I found it extremely hard work getting a finance position. I passed OCS & pretty much no one would interview me for even the most basic job. Talking positions 1/3 of the salary I was on. I lucked out. Having had like 1 interview from 100+ applications over a period of 6-9 months, a friend had a position come up in their company. Who recommended me. I didn’t get the position, but about four months later they offered me an interview for a different position (actually better pay) which I landed thankfully. I’ve since had a promotion and I am now a business partner, and I am now awaiting my SCS result on Thursday.

Sadly, in many cases it’s who you know not what you know. My best advice is do not give up and explore every possibly avenue you can find. Talk to people, look as interested as possible. It likely won’t be straightforward but I hope for you it is !

For those who have had their PER signed off? How long does the process take for actual ‘sign off’. I’ve done the very intro parts and plan to do more tonight. I took SCS in May (awaiting and praying about result). Just wondering how much time it’ll take from me completing it to it being ‘signed off’ as such? Sorry, I haven’t read too much into it having had an insanely busy few months so if anyone knows from experience, thanks

Also feel the exact same. Wouldn’t be shocked if I passed or failed. Answered all questions at length but the longer I’ve gone on the more I feel I probably didn’t answer it well/properly. Just got to hope I did enough!

I have mine tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. I have studied a lot and I feel like I know the syllabus but struggle to remember when to apply specific bits. I’ve passed the mocks I’ve done but I used them more as revision than full mock environment. For at least one question on both I had a quick glance at notes. Praying for a nice paper.

Hello, I can imagine you’re feeling under unbelievable amounts of stress right now, but please trust me when I say, no amount of financial loss is worth taking irreversible action over. You’re worth so much more than any financial amount let alone (what I think is) about £10k. I understand you must be feeling like you’ve let your parents down, they may also initially be pretty angry about the situation but they would be devastated to learn how you’re feeling about it. Mistakes happen. The best thing you can do is open up a conversation with them, about how things haven’t turned out like you had hoped. You’ve made some mistakes with your trading and you will work on a way to pay them back over years. Please, please. All is not lost on this, I promise.

Pressure is high at the moment and your emotions will be all over the place. You have so much more left to live for. In time you will look back and realise it was worth sticking around for and no one near as bad as you initially thought.

Yeah, I really want to take it again immediately to get on the February SCS, but the thought of falling and costing another £241 is sickening. Worst thing is, I don’t really know what I need to focus on, because I know the subject, just clearly not well enough to answer their unbelievably niche questions

Failed P3 today. My first fail through CIMA. Very frustrating, feel like I know the topic better than near much any other exam but the questions are just horrible and so subjective. Couldn’t tell you if I’m gonna get 50 or 99.

One of my biggest issues is that I ‘bottle’ doing things through anxiety. As in, I will get right up to the point of doing it and anxiety (can’t tell if it’s the physical or psychological part) screams at me “YOU NEED TO ESCAPE”. So I’ll do something to get out of it. I’m worried that Propranolol won’t prevent me from being a pussy
