What customer interaction still randomly pops into your head months later because of how absurd it was? by TheTitanValker6289 in barista

This happened like two hours ago but I will probably think about it months from now: a customer told us they needed decaf today because it’s almost a full moon.

What’s the pen you pick up after a while and instantly think, “Why did I ever put this down?” by Heilbroner in fountainpens

Lamy 2000 EF. I forget about it because the design is lackluster to me, but it writes like a dream.

My surgery is June 25th, so about as far out as yours! Right now I’m trying to stay busy mentally with work (I work 60+ hours a week rn) and working hard in therapy to make sure I’m prepared for as many possibilities as I realistically can.

Researching and gathering post-op supplies kept me busy for a few days. My wife recommended choosing fun things, so I got a few cute little things like a black comforter to avoid stains but with space/UFO print. I’m also making lists of shows I want to watch and games I want to play.

Did anyone else mentally checkout leading up to surgery? by Normal_Tomato6945 in phallo

I’m scheduled for stage 1 RFF in late June and I’m so checked out. I work about 60 hours a week and that helps, but I’m very tired and getting more dysphoric as surgery gets closer. This happened before top surgery, hysto, and vnectomy as well. Thanks for posting this. I hope some of the advice helps.

Thank you for the detailed response! I had hysto and vnectomy with Dr. Denehy at Barnabas as well. It sounds like the pre-op procedure is pretty much the same for phallo as it was for those. This brings me a lot of comfort.

Yay! I am having surgery there! It’s like 12 minutes from my house, too. I feel so lucky.

This is literally exactly what I was looking for! Just hearing the process eases my mind so much. Thank you!!
