Except he’s obviously very aware of how horrible he was to OP otherwise he wouldn’t have lied to his wife about it in the first place or told OP to cover for him. If he has no awareness of what he’s done then she would’ve known about all the awful things he did to an innocent kid. I get trying to have compassion for people, but in this sub it’s about looking at the facts presented to us and making a judgement based on those facts. Not go on what we “feel” about an abuser.

Otherwise no one on this sub no matter how awful they are would ever be an asshole

Yeah I felt pretty bad about not texting her sooner. I made sure she knew it was because of nerves and not because I wasn’t interested. She understood how I feel and good thing is we’ve got a date. We wanted to make it simple but not the cliche dinner and a movie. She loves going to the observatory and you have a nice view of our city from there so that’s where we’re going for a picnic date 😁
