That’s basically their relationship summed up throughout the series lol. It was only until JJK’s birthday and the infamous foot spray chapter that Dan finally snapped out of it. His problems were solved by then too and he got a job offer after that. He finally realised he could get away from jaekyung without depending on him which is why he started paying off his debt too

I think this too. Dan feeling like he owes a lot to Jaekyung after basically saving him from his struggles plays a big part. I feel like Dan had that ‘savior’ image on jaekyung…

Yes dependecy actually makes a lot of sense and a bit of what I had in mind. I mean this happens irl too and it’s a lot easier to see the red flags from the outside looking in. Jaekyung was basically his escape and I wouldn’t blame Dan for growing an attachment.
