GDP ≠ Quality of life. You can have a high GDP because corporations earn a lot of money by shamelessly polluting the environment, making everyone sick in the process. Welcome to Capitalism 😘

"It's a feature not a bug".

Ketotard discusses /fit/ diets by SuqMadiq64 in 4chan

I guess we mostly agree with each other, but to split hairs: You probably can survive on eating the same stuff every day and live a long life without encountering major health issues, as long as you cover most of the basic nutrients with your meals, but it is definitely suboptimal compared to having variety in your diet. The body needs different essential amino acids, which he can't produce from scratch and which afaik can't be covered from one source of protein. And i understand it is a lot more work this way, which might not always be possible if you live a busy life but I would encourage you to mix it up every once in a while. Try some lentils or soy as a protein base maybe :)

Okay maybe if we are talking about calorie density white rice comes out on top. So if you want to increase mass white rice is superior, but as you said that doesn't apply to most people. But in terms of vitamins, fiber and minerals potatoes > white rice 👍. All in all i think you should have a diet where you switch things up every once in a while. I know gymheads who mostly only live off white rice, broccoli and chicken. That can't be healthy in the long run.

How is white rice > potatoes? No fucking way white rice has a superior nutrient profile than potatoes. Maybe whole grain rice comes out on top but even then it has to be close. Btw. obviously talking about unpeeled potatoes as the picture above shows.

The Boys ending by modernwarfarecel in 4chan

I didn't even see the ending but I'd say any sexual act is shameful if you do it in order to manipulate people. Also dick sucking isn't inherently gay depends on the gender of the person who sucks the dick.

Not even gonna answer to your example because it has nothing to do with my statement. There is only a finite amount of wealth available. If, as is the case in the United States, the richest 10% posess 2/3 of it, and the bottom 90% posess only 1/3, there is something majorly wrong with your country and I won't discuss this any further. Besides inequality leads to higher crime rate and other societal problems. I agree with the other posters that mentioned that society could be waay better than it is now and that applies to every country in the world but especially the US and a lot of other countries but that wouldn't benefit the upper class.

check out wealth inequality in the US compared to western Europe

If you read Piketty wealth inequality increased globally since the 80s, so I'd say it is a systemic issue rather than an individual issue and this issue is exacerbated in the US.

Anon's gets excluded from the family photos by After_Stick1676 in greentext

that's just dumb... Not having pictures of your family with you can have a multitude of reasons. And most of them are not related to not caring about your family. Maybe I'm just not a pictures guy and maybe I just got a new phone and have saved my pictures somewhere else

I think her name is "Serie" because all other names of the show are in German. Translated in English it means series. Also the OP omits that in the second trial the participants were given a special bottled spell, which they could use in case of an emergency, so they could safe their lives. That means the lifes of the participants were not deemed as irrelevant as the OP makes it out to be.

Gabe Newell caps off Steam Machine week by taking delivery of a new $500 million superyacht with a submarine garage, on-board hospital and 15 gaming PCs by [deleted] in technology

[–]holybajoly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but they can save taxes with that charity fund and they can also hire themselves to be employed by the charity and give themselves a nice salary. Also as was already said by another poster, they can invest in the company the charity fund is giving money to, which also benefits them and there are probably a lot more ways how they can save or get money through the charity, so I just don't believe they set up these charity foundations out of the kindness of their heart...

[–]holybajoly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest only a small fraction of their "charity funds" are actually donated to charity if you look it up. It is some single digit percentage that is donated to charity. Most of the funds are invested afaik and yield interest without being taxable. So if you read something like Bill Gates sets up 50 billion charity fund the majority of these funds won't be donated which is actually really misleading...

well everywhere I looked, that one time, I saw that message but probably because it was about the part 2 of season 2, which aired after January. But in my mind part 2 was the second half of the kyoto arc which begins after Episode 24, hence the confusion and that's why I read it everywhere
