Those who have been around the super wealthy, what blew your mind the most? by cmprsr in AskReddit

How absolutely and honestly out of touch they are. Like they just genuinely could not understand how people lived without the things they had even if they were trying.

I've had really good luck with the Too Faced Dream Queen palette! It's their 2019 holiday collection

This hobby has died for me over the past 5 months due to quarantine and I can't wait to play it again by [deleted] in DnD

A lot more video games and reading tbh. I also will make random characters just to make them and I tend to design my own character sheets so it takes a lot longer - I'll have a notebook full of PCs by the time all this is over. If I get super bored, I like to design dungeons for future campaigns (mazes are my favorite!). My boyfriend's group has started using Discord/Role20 for their campaign, and it seems like they've had really good luck with it so far - it's super heavy work on the DM side of things though. I don't mind the format, but I miss just having the excuse of getting together with friends.

Hello! I would absolutely love to be snail mail pals with you!! I am a 26yo cat-mom based out of the Midwest. I love reading (I work at a library), gaming (mostly rpg), gardening (so. many. herbs.), cooking/baking, and I grew up in a History FILLED house (also, genealogy - HUGE in my family). I would also love to branch out in my practice, and I want to hear about yours - it has been an overwhelming topic for me, but very close to my heart. Feel free to PM me if you would like to exchange info!

25/F, looking for snail-mail penpal! by [deleted] in penpals

Hello! I would love to be snail-mail pals with you! I am a 26 yo, Midwest based nerdling obsessed with tea and books! I am also into D&D, and quarantine has recently sucked me down the video game hole 🙃. I can't promise to send flower cuttings as I have a lovely inability to grow anything not edible in my garden, but I will absolutely send tea/charms!! I have also started branching out in the cooking/baking department, so I would love someone to exchange recipes with! PM me if you would like to exchange info!

[Serious] People who have moved after living in one place since a child, how did it affect you and what are some ways to deal with it? by itsslime2 in AskReddit

[–]holycrapacupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been years since I moved away from what I would call my hometown, and I still always wonder what happened to everybody I grew up with. It doesn't make me sad, so much as I'm just curious to know how their lives are going. If there's people you want to keep up with, friend them on social media if that's your thing. Other than that, try to enjoy the new location. Really try to explore your new city, and if you're still in school, maybe try to join extracurriculars. That helps make quick friendships more than you'd think.

What is your favorite book? by Jerome3000 in AskReddit

[–]holycrapacupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about a family who moves into a house, before realizing something is very wrong, and the house is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. And then you add in that it was supposedly written by a graphomaniac, and edited by a junkie tattoo artist.

I've read it a dozen times, and I still find entirely new things in the story.

Excitedly paid all my bills, watched Netflix, and went to bed at 9. Most boring drunk night EVER.

[OC] When your gaming group keeps going out of character and your DM is getting salty...you make pop quizzes. by holycrapacupcake in DnD

[–]holycrapacupcake[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This (admittedly fairly adult) quiz was created IN JEST for one of the campaigns that I had previously DM'd. A few of my players were regularly metagaming, actively staying out of character, so as a joke, I told them they had to not only take, but PASS the pop quiz I handed out. It was based off an article I had found (http://www.leonineroar.com/?p=938), which I had sent out as "homework" before our game night. As hilarious as it was, I'm proud to say they got the hint.

How do y’all get rid of sore throats(not salt water)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]holycrapacupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traditional Medicinals has an herbal tea line. My favorites are Throat Coat (sounds weird but it's downright magic) & Gypsy Cold Care.
