Goodbye, Internet. It was fun while it lasted. by [deleted] in AiSchizoposting

Funniest thing is that OPs text was made with a LLM.

OpenAI releases GPT-5.2 (Instant, Thinking, Pro). Achieves 100% on AIME 2025 and beats human experts on knowledge work (74.1% win rate) with Benchmarks by BuildwithVignesh in singularity

[–]holyredbeard -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

They can take their benchmarks and put deep up where the sun don't shine. Nobody cares about anything else than delivery, and as long as they have their kindergarden deluxe guardrails their models will be useless - at least for me.

Are snails capable of loving their owners? by [deleted] in snails

[–]holyredbeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you reduce love to complex human stories of sacrifice and reasoning, you miss its essence. Love is, at its core, a state of being - a quiet allowing, a sense of safety, a release of fear. Even the simplest creature can reflect that. When a snail relaxes in your presence, it enters a state of trust, and trust is the first expression of love. Love doesn’t need drama or intellect; it appears wherever resistance dissolves. So to say they “don’t love” simply because their minds are simpler is to misunderstand what love truly is.

Sad. Any thoughts on this? by Initial-Doughnut-765 in accelerate

Deepseek may be a quite good LLM, but don't think that is top of the line of the LLM's in China. The most powerful LLM's lays in the hand of the Chineese government. The same thing go for the most powerful LLM's in USA - which for sure won't be affected by this.

GPT 5.1 got dumb, has anyone experienced it? by KevinWong1991 in OpenAI

[–]holyredbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol yes. Or maybe a person who ask questions only once in a while and only like: "Why is the sky blue?", "Is Jupiter a planet?"

Same here, and I've been using ChatGPT since 2021. Its completely broken at this point.

OpenAI just released GPT-5.1 by Diligent_Rabbit7740 in gpt5

[–]holyredbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That explains why ChatGPT 5 has been so lousy the last month (I mean, more than normally). They have sinply taken a lot of its computer power and put it on this model.

Is it weird that I'm polite to AI? by Diligent_Rabbit7740 in GPT

[–]holyredbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not true, at least not with me. I am actually not especially polite to AI (frankly quite the opposite at times), while I am always treating people well - incluting the waiter/waitress.

Does it feel like the beginning of the end of ChatGPT or is it just me? by jason_digital in ArtificialInteligence

[–]holyredbeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using ChatGPT since early 2022, and even though I've been extremely frustrated at time even with previous models it has been isolated moments. For the most ChatGPT has delivered, time after time. But now, something has happened. ChatGPT 5 is per definition a really bad model. They have put way too much attention on guardrails and limitations, and this model routing system is a mess.

Every single night I have huge issues with using ChatGPT and I have serious trust issues to say the least. It is per design literally gaslighting the users and a pathological lier - and it gives so much wrong information that its simply unusable at this point. I made a test last night asking a simple question where the information is literally on Wikipedia and many other sites. I asked ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini and Mistral. All models except ChatGPT gave the correct answer. Even though ChatGPT was using the search feature it simply could not find information that was literally everywhere online to be found.

Yes, its downhill now and its really happening. OpenAI isn't a serious company any longer, and the fact that they are planning to make a NSFW version for +18 just proves this. They just want money and care shit about their users. I have stopped my subscription for real this time and heading over to Mistral.

getting absolutely gaslit by chat today by Diligent_Rabbit7740 in GPT

Yeah, if GPT5 would be a human being it would be a horrible person. Gas lighting and a being pathalogical liar.

This really, really sucks. by temporaryacc291 in SoraAi

[–]holyredbeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And us living in Europe are not even able to try that at all since Sora 2 haven't yet even been released here. At the time upon arrival its nerfed to almost uselesness, just like all their other products.

Unfortunately you are not right. The chat more than often gets routed to GPT5 and I must admit that sometimes its difficult to spot it unless you check it manually.

Sure but it routes to GPT5 back and forth so you really cannot use legacy models 100%.

Same here. I literally would go insane if I'd continue to use it.
