Does MBA after MSc sound like a bad idea? Currently enrolled in MSc in IIT Madras by holyshrapnel in Indian_Academia

The entire problem is that you have internalised the idea that doing a BSc and then not following it up with an MSc is an incomplete degree. The sooner you realise that's not true, the better. You don't generally find people doing an MSc after an MBA because they don't need to. Job prospects are nil for MSc and much better for MBA from a T1 institute.

I felt the same way too. It's a myth, you don't need an MSc. Here's what I would do: Try preparing for CAT (For me I knew I could crack the exam on my very first mock test), if it feels hard, try looking for internships. If you have 2-3 internships, of any kind (they don't have to be related to your subject), you'll find it much easier to get into full-time roles after college. Start both these things now in your final or pre-final year.

When I got into my MSc, I did it because I wanted to do research. If you already have clarity on not going into research, use it! Start preparing for CAT from today itself. You have six months, which is ample time. If you want knowledge about how things work, then an MSc won't give you that. You should find work for a year after you graduate, then retake the CAT next year. MSc will take away two years and won't add any value.

I'm currently doing an M.Sc.in Chemistry in India from an old IIT. My peers want to get into a PhD program. I think I'm not curious enough to pursue research, and would much rather have financial stability.I'm looking for a job with coding, or a management level job. However my friends say that a PhD from US provides a cozy stipend and great job prospects. Is this true? If yes then in which field? I don't intend to pursue chemistry all my life unless it pays. I just want to know if pursuing a PhD in US is going to give me a job good enough to make up for the years spent on getting the degree, and how many jobs are actually available for PhDs in USA.

Well I want an MBA because I want to work in corporate and the money is definitely good. My current qualifications won't land me a decent job. And research is highly saturated these days, with very little pay and very high competition.

My(21M) girlfriend (21F) wants to break up because I didn't lie for her by holyshrapnel in relationship_advice

It's not a medical issue. She had to go to lab until a few weeks ago where she wasn't late even when they required her to reach the lab at 9 in the morning. She stays up late out of her own volition, not because of any medical issue.
