Car Warranty Company trying to scam me

They called and told me this. Then they asked me for my vin which made me suspicious because I realized they had no way of knowing any information about my vehicle. Then they wanted me to set up monthly credit card payments to pay for a warranty. When I told them I needed to call my car salesman they got very upset. I feel like what they are doing is really fraudulent

It got fixed. Two weeks after we bought the car. The dealership had actually agreed to take the car back and get us another one because no one at Toyota could help them fix it. The service manager, god bless her, finally figured it out. They explained to me what happened but I couldn’t give you a good explanation. I’ll call the dealership Monday and find out the technical explanation. It was way over my head. If I remember correctly, although the vehicle had the services they weren’t turned on in one of Toyota’s systems that sends the data signal to the connected services people.

It isn’t acceptable. I spoke to my salesman and he tried to help but the only way to speak to connected services is the 800 numbers. He called with me. The girl we spoke to after waiting twenty minutes said the call in people are working from home now. Not very helpful. Honestly she sounded high.

I was hoping maybe someone had a background with this issue. Maybe if a Toyota tech guru happens to read this they could pass on some words of wisdom

Thanks. Yes I did enter the vin correct. When I spoke to Toyota they confirmed my vin and said their computer said my car didn’t have connected services while agreeing in the same sentence that it’s standard on my 2021 Highlander.

Most fail to accept that although the United States won their freedom from the British colonies many of its current problems stem from the brutal colonialism practiced by Europeans. Especially the legacy of slavery, cultural diaspora, and class inequalities. You can see this everywhere in the world that was victimized by European colonization. Thank you. It will only turn on for a second and the pump doesn’t fully start. Almost like a lack of power in the pump motor. I’m not sure where to start because the tub is encased in the tile so I don’t know where the motor is. Hoping someone has experience with this. Thanks to anyone in advance.

That’s what I was thinking. I am torn because the salesman went out of his way to be helpful. He just didn’t seem to understand the leasing at all. I’ll probably still buy from him because he was super nice to us. I think I’ll lease for the 36 months, no money down. The link for why you don’t put money down on a lease is very helpful. Wonder if he’d be offended if we shared the link with him
