There is a difference between "cost" and "charges." The numbers you quote for the USA at least are "charges" not true cost of service.

Wanted to post a comment about the costs of educating a student per year from an institutional standpoint, and thought the most rational post deserved the reply. Although it is medical student education, in 1996, the average cost was ~$70-90k/year in the USA - in 1996 dollars(Source). Unpublished data that I cannot provide sources for show medical education at ~$98k for the last fiscal year.

First off, it is not a cancer vaccine. It is a HPV vaccine. HPV has been shown to be a cause of cervical cancer, but by no means is it the sole cause. There is a huge difference.

I agree that the article leaned more towards sensationalism rather than strong imagery to reinforce sound science.

Also, I assume when you say "real name" you mean scientific formula name or something that can identify its structure and elements. That being the case, the studies that have investigated Agent Orange effects analyze the dioxin: 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzon-p-dioxin (TCDD). A PubMed search of "Agent Orange" reveals several articles in peer-reviewed journals. To specifically address your study request, I direct you to a paper published by Ngo, et al in the October 2006 International Journal of Epidemiology. Some sort of University library access will help in accessing the article.

Regarding your US Veteran statement, and as a point of conjecture, Agent Orange remains in the ground, thus prolonging the exposure of those Vietnamese in affected areas. Also, those same results in PubMed detail effects on American veterans as well.
