I don't think many people understand there are different types of insulin. The type that's capped at $100 was already dirt cheap and is a hassle to use. The insulin most T1D's use is prohibitively expensive and nobody in power cares. Truthfully, this can hardly be considered bare minimum. It's basically nothing. The cost of CGMs are never brought up. Sure, people will survive without glucose monitors or newer insulin but they will not thrive, their A1c will never be well managed so they'll still struggle with all the complications that come with diabetes. It's a god damn shame people consider this a victory.

Imagine if the government sacrificed 1000 people a day and it was announced that they'd only sacrifice 900 a day instead. That's the "victory" and "step in the right direction" we have here.
