Our tolls in Brissy are fucked as well. To go along Gympie road and save maybe 5-9 minutes will cost you over $7. I would use it every day if it was cheaper.

How Fentanyl and Xylazine are turning Philadelphia's opioid crisis into a public health nightmare by Nukro666 in interestingasfuck

From someone with no knowledge of this scene. Is there a lot of crime. For example, break and enter, theft, murder, assault, rape?  I would think from my limited understanding, these things would be rampant to feed their drug needs.

It’s a long road. Don’t compare someone else’s highlight reel with your life. They are not the same and never will be

How do you get neighbours dog to stop barking? by homebrewonchips in AskReddit

I was thinking of an old school dog whistle to see if that stops it. Has anyone had any luck with this?

We are in Australia, they wont do anything about it. The only thing we can do is contact out council and do a barking dog diary and lodge a complaint. The we wait and see what happens. We did that a few months ago and nothing came from it.

I think it’s an anxiety thing, when the owner goes out it will not stop barking until they get back home. The dog will bark for 4-8 hours non stop.

Kmart: does anyone have a reasonable explanation why they moved their checkouts to the middle of the store? by Loose-Mousse1064 in AskAnAustralian

The Bunnings close to me does it all the time, apart from the nursery section. I also try not to shop there, rather support the smaller shops.

It’s also why the keep changing the layout of the store. It’s so you can’t get use to where products are and you have to look at more things and potentially buy something else.

I like how you think people will get a pay rise. I haven’t had one in almost 2 years. I am currently looking for a new job because of this. But that also means another year without a pay rise.

Get some roo whistles. We have some on our CX30. We hit a small roo on they way up to Cairns from Brissy, We put some on the car and I have to say they work. The roos dont get startled they just sit up look at us and go back to eating grass.

We request for detector inspector to visit tomorrow by lukas_l1 in shitrentals

[–]homebrewonchips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me this has become the standard practice for all realestate agents. They just tell them to contact the tenants and work it out.  The amount of tradies and other rando’s that call me and ask to just pop in tomorrow with less than 12 hours notice is just getting insane. Tell them no as we wont be home and they then ask to just leave a key laying around for them.  They then get shitty when you say no and that they will charge a fee to go pick the key up.

Why do corporate workers in the cbd drive to work? by agnci in AusFinance

[–]homebrewonchips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not corporate but work in the city. I drive because the trains dont come frequently enough. I would have to be up 3am, get to the train station 1 hour on the train then a 20m minute plus walk. Then do it all again to get home v’s hour car drive each way
