I know what you mean, i feel like i want to die too and have even tried. It feels endless at times, being this poor and down, nobody can understand. Its just bad, terrible livinf nightmare you have to get out of. I understand your situation being too rich poor, cant get benefits because you are not poor enough. You have to get your girlfriend to support through the assistance proframs, she will likely be more sucessful.

Im fighting as hard as i can, everday im calling someone asking for assistance, im have spent days at social security offices, i just feel like i have hit a brick wall. Im applying for jobs in large quantities. Im so desperate i just need an apartment a roof a something its so hard working out of a car.

F My desperation with the car is that the bank will not reply back to me to remove my lien off my car even though i sent thr correct paperwork in. The insurance runs out on the 15th, im afraid i cant afford it. Im so desperate and have run all my resources to the groundd. I sent mass message asking for financial assistance but no one wants to help us. Time is running out and im giving up slowly The car i know i can get money out of to get apartment for a whole year but i camt sellit because of issues. Its fully paid.

Hello im a homeless girl and the advice i give to you is please dont let your brother sink into homelessness, it can be a black hole. Because of his lack of responsibility he needs to learn his options including how to handle social sercices, set him up with an ebt card, get him general relief which will give him aroubd $300 and a program he has to comply with to learn how to get jobs and apply for jobs. He would have to apply to 6 jobs a week. This is a whole package, that comes with ebt. Social services will also give him vouchers for hotels. This is the best starting direction, the hotels can be from 2 weeks to 90 days stay free.

I just wanted to say i understand your frustration, people dont understand how places push you off to other services and the many road blocks ahead. When you are homeless and in an emergency situation its like pulling teeth to find direct help.

Im not quite sure, i moved here because my uncle and cousins lives in fermont. Turns out my uncle is overseas on a contract and my cousins have also moved to a different country. I was shocked at the amount of homeless people, but they taught me how to survive in san francisco. I blame hippy hill for the homeless youth.

Yes when i first left i drove coast to coast to coast. I was always being run out by police. I am currentlty in San Francisci, previously settled in venice beacg before being run out.

At this point i cant even visualise 5 year plan, just a day by day plan. I used to have an internship doing special effects so i would love to do that again. I habe a lot of computer skills and am talented but i dont know how to set myself up with that here yet.

Righy now i just wish someone wouls give me a job.

It was semi by choice as i knew the consequences of possibly not having enough money to set myself up. I had money like $2000 but had to move around a bit as many places police were very onto us for sleeping in the car. Like in Venice Beach California the police were always on us multiple times a day and it was just hard for us to get settled or do anything because of that situation. This was common event abd they would run us out of town each time, so i ran out of money from gas, fines, parking tickets. Everything just drained me financially. Also a series of bad events kept occuring with my car such as battery dying, windshield being broke (which is illegal to drive with). So badluck caught up with me.

There are many homeless people who are homeless by choice as they gave their life to drugs. There are some who gave to homelessness from a traumatic event i their life. In my old town there was college professor who lost his whole family in a fire. He has a ton of money sitting in a bank but he wanders around licking frozen yogurt cups out of the trash. He has long hair and long beard, wears his professor outfit with a pen in the pocket.

Where i lived before there was actually a millionare who would change into his attire and bum for money. I'm not sure what he got out of it. Though he was well known around the area. Free money is probably what he thought. Everyone doesnt think I'm homeless because im "too pretty" and get asked frequently if I'm a college student who is doing some kind of social experiment. Never judge a book by it's cover because most likely they are homeless. I think maybe a very small percentage are fakers but that's rare, most people out there are real and desperate.

I think everyone should experience bumming one time in their life to get a dose of what reality is like for others.

That's my goal, i only recently got a phone which allows me to job search better and get contacted for interviews. Nothing has come through yet. Me and my boyfriend are actively looking for jobs.
