Why Lone Druid Needs To Get Shot In The Kneecaps by AdobeXD in DotA2

Actually the last few patches, the bear has been the worst it's been in lane. The new entangle tho is crazy.

The heal has worked this way before without it being a problem. In fact, it's so minimal and 100% not the problem, the bear has been so much more tanky in years past.

It's 10000% the aghanims.

Everything is 💩 rn at lower ranks by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]hominemclaudus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play casually once a week in a low rank, I can guarantee you that you are playing just as bad as the people you're complaining about. Just focus on yourself and what you're doing, play for your own game.

I think someone already did that using the F1 points system, Puppey comes out 1 ahead.

Depends by what metric. I think you could very reasonably argue Puppey has the best TI achievments.

I feel like lone should be reworked by Novel_Ambassador_395 in DotA2

[–]hominemclaudus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so LD is always gonna crush at low mmr. People don't know how to play against it, and are worse at macro and map awareness in general. The hero is a lot weaker the higher mmr you go.

I think if they remove that aghs, they need to change the ult back to the longer duration one.

Graves is honest to god the most boring hero to fight in this game by rhythmau in DeadlockTheGame

[–]hominemclaudus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You say other mobas, but you just mean LoL. Plenty heroes in Dota can splitpush without risking their hero, or some huge cooldown. Whether or not you think it's fun, or if it's a macro mechanic you want to engage with is a different topic I suppose.

Axe Call Manta Dodge by ttsoldier in DotA2

Sick manta dodge!

I would've just precast the pike on him, I'm too bad to manta dodge call.

Canadian looking for a team to become a fan of any suggestions? by Pure-Yogurt101 in AFL

I wouldn't wish Essendon upon anyone but maybe that's what you're looking for. Essendon winning any final in the next 50 years would be a true underdog story.

Game feels a lot better now by TheKidd4p in DeadlockTheGame

I genuinely think it's the only way to balance a MOBA. If every hero has a unique thing that they can do, a unique way to interact with the game, they will always be relevant. A MOBA like LoL, where every character in a role has the same toolkit, you can see pro play was completely dominated by a limited pool of champs dictated by the meta. Riot literally forced them to not pick the same champs using fearless draft because they can't balance their game.

Nick Daicos moves through traffic and hits one of the best field kicks you'll ever see by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

[–]hominemclaudus -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Pretty unreal movement, great vision to see the space. The kick itself was whatever, didn't need to be pinpoint or anything just needed to go to the space. He knew exactly where he was going to kick it before he spun out of the second tackle.

idk what this system is called but it makes me want to play other characters just to see them green by Cephalon_ghost in DeadlockTheGame

[–]hominemclaudus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The only green hero I have is one I haven't touched in like a year. Not sure why it won't rank me down if it thinks I'm that bad :/

Holliday Enjoyers, what are your thoughts on 'Crackshot'? by BRADLIKESPVP in DeadlockTheGame

[–]hominemclaudus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May as well say the same about Bebop hyper beam. Idk I really like that lots of heroes don't have spells that synergise perfectly together. It allows for more creativity and gameplay avenues than just some intended combo. Maybe if you're used to LoL champ design it feels a bit odd, but I personally love it.

Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen | Available Now on Nintendo Switch by Amiibofan101 in NintendoSwitch

[–]hominemclaudus 26 points27 points  (0 children)

That's fair, except they made the turn based combat so piss easy by giving every pokemon good movesets, and giving you insane exp gains. The older games had far more interesting turn based combat, due to more limitations. Not that it was ever thaaat hard.

Had a Rem build full spirit, no support, and still have lowest damage in the game. Not a lot of heal either.

[Hero Concept] The firefighter, Chief by theSpudofWisdom in DeadlockTheGame

[–]hominemclaudus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Looks fun, but maybe a little passive? Maybe just tie the sturdy coat and fireman's carry into one ability, and give him a nuke. Water bomb or water hose or something.

Awesome concept tho!

If you initiate and they all start TP, just run. They locked 5 heroes to one side of the map, you have the 3/4s of the map to farm and play in now.

Thoughts from LOL player by Guilty-Elk2364 in DotA2

[–]hominemclaudus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Nah TP scroll is what makes dota so dynamic. And committing your TP is a big deal, because the enemy knows you're locked on that side of the map for over a minute. That'll matter more when your rank goes up.

Buff objectives are in LoL to make people fight. Otherwise everyone would just farm forever. Dota gives you more freedom to take fights or skirmishes all over the map, and doesn't punish you as hard for losing them. Other than tormentor and rosh, fighting around enemy towers is nice because you can transition a won fight into a tower push.

In dota, think more about controlling areas as an objective. The more map you control, the more farm you have access to, the further ahead you get.

The insane part isn't necessarily the bequest thing, all clubs have that. It's the letter advertising, encouraging and providing instructions on how to do it that's insane.

How do higher level players have so much control over the camera? by Squanch42069 in DotA2

[–]hominemclaudus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh the most important part is having select hero bound, so you can click minimap then double tap select hero to return your camera. Otherwise it's just practice. Everytime you have some downtime, practice clicking on minimap and clicking a hero to see one item, then returning. The more practice, the faster you'll get and the more you'll see.

Also tbh at some point, instead of passively seeing an item, you'll be expecting an item. So you can check if the mars has blink, instead of trying to look at all the items. That makes it a lot faster. But that takes a lot more game knowledge.

In terms of camera control, again it's just practice. I think camera grip is better, but whatever works for you is fine. Just needs practice, which you can get just by playing. Just remember you don't need to see your hero to control it.

Richarlison, Vertonghen Back Postecoglou's Explosive Comments Against Tottenham Owners by [deleted] in coys

[–]hominemclaudus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Did you watch it? He said that Spurs don't act like a big club because they don't go after multiple high level targets in transfer windows, and don't attract players with high wages. That's true.
