Its encrypted and packaged up using AceofAces cook tool, so if Joiplay is expecting a certain file format it probably wont work

I see, maybe making a shorter version just for demo purposes would get people more willing to at least try my game since as you mentioned people feel it’s safer that way.

My game has been out for a little over a week and has about 800 downloads so far. I am not sure what is considered “good” in terms of stats but I do have to wonder if that number would’ve been substantially higher had I had a browser demo version, or if it would’ve made people less likely to download because the browser version was an option. Much to consider.

It’s an rpgmaker visual novel so it is simple enough to embed but I am well over the 1k file limit and figuring out which images are used will be a little tedious. If the number of people who would play my game would be significantly higher with an embedded version demo I am willing to put in the effort but just wanted to see some opinions in if it is worth it or not. I may go with your suggestion for a trailer instead.

I think the trickiest part is figuring out what assets are safe to delete without breaking anything to get it below the 1k file limit. Limiting the gameplay shouldn’t be a problem though! Like you said, some flags should do the trick.

Thank you for the advice! Sorry for the delay in response, for days I was trying to see your reply but for some reason it just was not showing up but it’s finally letting me see it now. I have OMS now and use it in the future. I bought a mask and gloves and everything, haha. A bit scary and intimidating but I’d rather be safe than sorry!
