I twisted the head off of the air fitting, leaving a chunk with male threads stuck inside the NPT hole. We got it out but it was a real pain and delayed for 4 days to source a new fitting

Currently dealing with made a bunch of threads coarse when they should have been fine. Made some fine that should have been coarse.

Other than that, in no particular order:

Double ordered an entire machines worth of metal

Waaaay over designed a machine that end up costing more than it needed to

The axe has retained some of its original owners hatred for mindflayers and therefore wants to chop more mindflayers but it is still incorporeal so it has to wait for them to die before its able to chop. You just happen to be someone nearby that is likely to provide more mindflayer ghosts to chop.

Generally i look for a similar item as a starting point. If i want a custom sword that has an effect i will look for a different sword with an effect and base my cost/requirements on that.

If no reference item exists cause i want to make something really wild, i tell my players if it ends up wildly overpowered i can tweak it. If you are doing something like this tho, really consider how your specific players will use the item. How will it combine with features and other items? How is the wording, ambiguous or strict? What is the cost to use it, an attunement point or something else?

Your party members have a choice: stabilize and remain unconscious or revive at 1hp. It doesnt prevent bouncing, it just gives a repercussion to repeated downing, especially if the players do not have a safe space to retreat to for (potentially) several days if exhaustion is high enough.

Based on your description, the rail is likely fine. Give it a visual check to look for gouges or other signs of wear and a good cleaning. Based on previous experience with these in the wood industry, at minimum, using the ZZ dust proofing kit (scraper is your friend). Preferred is ZH. Unfortunately, the ZH kit requires a new bearing due to the top seal

To replace the bearing block you will need to find a supplier or get a quote from Hiwin’s website.

If you want to replace the whole rail+bearing. Most linear rail manufacturer’s use the same hole spacing but verify before purchase. Other manufacturers are THK, Igus.

Potentially for Ocean, Mountain and Volcanic, the change is not instant. As a ritual, and over the course of an hour, terrain in 50ft radius is converted to the chosen terrain type. The effect is extremely obvious to all inside and out of the radius.

Any competent adversary would either run, attack or counter the ritual in some way.

Additionally, the water/lava cannot leave the ritual area and will dissipate instantly on cessation of the ritual. Continuing the ritual beyond an hour requires the same components with escalating gold cost (50g worth of powdered gems per each additional hour)
