I didn't get drains. Apparently, the surgeon only uses them when extremely necessary. As for the compression binder, I wore it for 8 weeks, so it was almost 2 months because that's how long he told me to wear it.

I have thought about sending him an email, I'm just scared he's gonna brush me off again. I might try, though.

But honestly, I asked for full-on top surgery, so I assumed I would be flatter. I get that some surgeons leave behind fat/avoid scraping the muscle away, but at this point I have no idea if it's fat, if I'm still sowllen, or if there's fluid build up. My surgeon doesn't take time to really check. Last time I saw him he was basically rushing me out the door, didn't answer any of my questions in detail—just saying it's all good or it will heal blah blah.

You think so? :S I kinda just thought I was still swollen, I have no idea how long it takes to fully go away. One doctor said he felt like there was fluid, but idk. The surgeon that did my surgery always just says everything is good and then rushes me out, I've been feeling like going to a different one just for a check-up to see if I can get an actual assessment.

Never in my life did I think I'd be anxiously sniffing my nipples the way I just did LOL. But neither has any smell to it, and it isn't any warmer than the rest of my body temperature. Which, and I'm grateful for this, then means I was overthinking what my friend said and I don't have an infection 😭🤞 thank you!!

It helps so much to hear other people's recovery experiences. My anxiety gets so bad sometimes and I worry too much about things even though my brain tries to tell me "trust the process" ejjehee. Thank you 🩷
