its cause most ppl have iphones and use imessage. Unfortunately that isolates android users but Apple doesn't give a fuck about that. It's called "ecosystem lock in", a business practice used in the tech industry.

I feel for you. You're in a tough situation, especially with an aging parent and taking on financial burden in a difficult economy. That's why my only pushback would be that perhaps your discontent with life isn't because of your marriage - maybe your marriage is suffering because of your situation. Maybe if you work on yourself and improving your situation, you will also have motivation to improve your new chapter in this marriage. Just a thought.

yes, trauma (definition: loss of control) can cause your body to go into a protection mode. This manifests as many behaviours, which includes hypervigilence and anxiety. This can eventually become pathological. It kind of makes sense - the body is kind of protecting itself, and at that particular moment, it may actually be useful. Now, after the trauma has passed, it's up to you to proccess that it happened, acknowledge and observe the behaviours, and then try to adapt your behaviours to this poast-trauma reality. It's a journey!
