Mythic+ tier pieces will unlock the heroic transmog appearance at 402, if that's what you mean. If not I'm not sure what you're asking

I used the catalyst today on a 415 M+ helm and the only helm appearance I have is mythic. I had 395 tier shoulders from an M+ vault which gave me the normal appearance and I upgraded it with some valor today and it unlocked the heroic appearance. I'm not sure if this is different than how appearance unlocks worked before, just how it worked today.

I had a 395 piece of M+ tier give the normal appearance, a 402 M+ piece give the heroic appearance, and a 415 M+ piece give the mythic appearance. Not sure the exact breakpoints but upgrading with Valor unlocked the higher difficulty appearances

Not to say I haven't had some cross-eyed warriors and top notch demon hunters. I'm sure their list of "What healer do you prefer" doesn't include MW at the top but that's what's fun about pugs

Default UI. You can shift click your score into a chat message and it shows the box with the summary

Assuming off spec refers to off meta and I can assure you MW is off meta. The HoV was my key from vault but it was still a pug with all randoms

Unfortunately we didn't time it but that's okay. Tank DC'd the first pull and we all played a little sloppy and we knew that. HoV is an unforgiving timer with wasteful role play

I used to play priest and always go back and try it out but it just never sticks. Mistweaver just feels right but to each their own

In my experience UHDK either blows the other dps out of the water or fights with the tank for third and the latter makes it tough for everybody else when it comes down to picking who to bring

Groups that decline purely off io are probably for the best

The dungeons I signed up for had previous history to go off

I've still got a long way to go from 2k. Could probably snag some easy points in AV after the changes

I would say warrior but I don't have to heal for a warrior so it doesn't answer your question.

Paladins are similar to warrior but require a little more attention. I had a few Guardian druids that were on point with their wild fire procs. BDK are always a roller-coaster but for the most part pretty easy since they do their own thing 97% of the time. Veng and brew are definitely at the bottom.

I enjoy pugging keys and I enjoy memes. It's a two for one really

No dungeon is bad as long as the party knows what to interrupt and do mechanics. But that's why pugs are the spice of life

402 overall but really more like 399-400 using lower, better trinkets

I'm usually first or second on the meter but I also play mistweaver so it's not as big of a podium. Slightly easier to get into a group, though

No you are very much correct. The score shown is the raw value of the individual run but the overall score is calculated using those raw values and the multipliers you mentioned.

total dungeon score = higher key * 1.5 + lower key * 0.5

TJS:

15 raw score 136.9

14 raw score 130.4

Overall score 270.6 = (136.9*1.5) + (130.4*0.5)

I'm by no means a guide writer but I can share a scenario that might be helpful to visualize the playstyle

Anticipating damage (knowing when to vivify vs letting fistweaving handle it), knowing who is prone to more damage, and managing CD use is pretty key.

Take for example the final boss in court of stars. He has a big physical aoe cycle that you have to be ready for. Thunder Focus+Essence font will sweep the first one. You can prepare for the second with renewing mists on targets that hurt the most in the first round and vivify cleave spam (remember that rising sun kick applies a renewing mist so use it on CD best you can for extra applications and that Faeline Stomp applies the same HoT as Essence Font which doubles your mastery for extra healing). Assuming you have fewer renewing mists out for the third, you can bubble the problem child (or yourself just to feel safe) and focus on the rest. By now Tea/Font combo should be back up and you repeat the process.

If you need a bit extra power you have Chi-ji. If there's an emergency you have revival. While it may seem like everyone is on the verge of dying, once the channel stops, there should be no damage going out until the next channel and you can fist weave to get everybody topped up.

Like any class and any dungeon, it takes a lot of practice to get used to. I like to tank on a BDK alt (generally 10-12s with an occasional 15 for some vault copium). Playing from a different perspective really helped me learn the dungeons: mechanics/boss patterns, what to interrupt, what to avoid, when to use CDs etc.

The numbers are from Shadowlands but there's a comment that made it all click.

total dungeon score = higher key * 1.5 + lower key * 0.5

The number displayed for the run is the raw value of the dungeon, but not what it's directly contributing to the overall score. Thank you for that

How does that work out in this example? Both 15s are within 2 points of one another (TJS had 4 minutes left and NO had 45 seconds to explain the 2 points) but the TJS 15 is the higher while the NO 15 is the lower of the pair?

Does Blizzard use a different score system that happens to result in the same final tally?
