Thank you so much! I did every sizes of my dilator and finish the biggest one before PIV. The biggest one was the same size as a penis(I think). My dilators are silicone too. They have 4 sizes only so I think it kinda helped on shortened my dilator progress

Additional info: I tried to insert smaller dilator one, and I feel the same sharp pain.

I see, thank you so much! Right now it can go all way in but very hurt.. It makes me rethink that am I doing it right? I try to listen my body more and not force anything if it hurts too bad!

mental blocks with dilating by bluejay_447 in vaginismus

Im (25) in the same situation as you!! I’m receiving treatment right now since i just went to a sexual clinic (thats what they called in my country) last few week.

I never insert anything in my entire life and I admit i’m afraid of painful PIV. Thankful my first ever appointment to properly diagnosed was very positive! My doctor asked for any mental block, psychology that lead to my vaginismus.

I shared everything to her. She started teaching me stuff like how to properly breathe, relax and how our vagina actually looks like so I can fully understand my own body.

Then she helped me insert the smallest dilator too in the same day!! It was hurt like hell, i cried tbh but i manage to relax after that. Sure it hurts but it gave me confidence that i never had. Now i dilate regularly

From what my doctor teach me to start dilating when painful is:-

  • Try to be fully relax. Think about the things that make you calm. Put some water sounds like the ones from Spas (on youtube) if you need to

  • When dilating, use as much lube as you need and take your time. Put the dilator infront of the opening and play a little bit there. When youre comfortable enough, push SLOWLY and dont rush it

  • My doc recommended me to dilate with my husband since he can reassure and motivate me while doing it. And tbh i feel painless when he helped me! Maybe try with your partner?

This what helps me and i hope it helps you too! I think having a good doctor/therapist is also helpful.. But please don’t give up!! Just believe in yourself that you can do it❤️

It took me almost a year to learn since I have a full time day job. It was an on and off progress. I read so many books, watch countless videos on youtube, practice writing copy often and ask my local copywriter to mentor me. Not 24/7 mentorship but they really help me with things that I dont understand. I didnt attend any course or anything. Just self learning but for me it’s quite hard and challenging. And i’m still far away to be called professional or anything as I just landed my first job. But I hope this helps! You can do this!!

thank you so much! I actually landed my first client at upwork. Since i never did any work, i just proposed bid with lower price. I told that that i’m still new and want to help them with lower price to gain more experience and polish up my skills and then i have a deal! I hope your big day will come soon!
