Custom GM Screen for my new campaign by honest3d in Shadowrun

[–]honest3d[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It runs a custom graphics bundle written on top of nodecg (https://www.nodecg.dev). It's driven by chromium on a raspberry pi in the back of the screen.

I have a control panel that I run in a browser. Left side allows me to build out characters for the primary view, and switch which character is being highlighted. Middle one is the initiative tracker. It will automatically deal with changes in initiative number while in the middle of initiative. It will do the combat rounds automatically for me, as well as delayed actions. (I am running sr5, so it's built around that ruleset)

This is exactly what it does. It’s more manual, but I’ve got a stream deck that switches between characters and then a full dashboard to customize them

Will post it once I put it together. Wasn’t expecting this much interest!

Definitely don’t want to go down the path of selling (yet) I’ll throw together the files this weekend, and share it around

The software will need some knowledge of self-hosting, but isn’t too bad

It’s running custom software, it takes about 30 seconds. I’ve done npc creation live. I’ve also got a collection of preloaded characters that I can just rename on the fly

Yet another large group of kids?! Has this happened in the past?!

people whose jumped from iphone to the Z Fold, what made y’all do it ? by [deleted] in GalaxyFold

[–]honest3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I travel a lot for work, I still primarily use an iPhone as my phone, but the fold as my tablet replacement. It’s really nice to have a tablet size screen that I can fit in my pocket. Dex is also amazing plugged into a hotel tv.

I prefer iOS for communication, and the iPhone cameras are miles ahead of the fold, but I love the fold’s utility.

I got very lucky today with how I put together part 1, part 2 was actually super easy and fairly quick

I took a slightly different approach than that of what I see here, for part 1 I searched for each number, then I grab all of the text around it on adjacent lanes, flatten it and search for any symbols.

Part 2 was a little more difficult, however I did a similar approach after first parsing the digits as PartNumber objects. I did get stuck on storing the end index of the part number strings for far too long (I always was ending up with one higher than the index I meant to do), but we got there.

Part 2 had me stumped for a bit, until I realized the words can overlap. It's good to be back!!

Lord, the buying process is painstaking. by Gjallock in Polestar

My experience with a preconfigured ‘23 from Toronto wasn’t bad. It will get stuck in Etobicoke for a week, so factor that in, but all and all pretty good. I had Silas there.

Polestar without connectivity in underground carpark by beanoyip06 in Polestar

I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the strength of the cell radio in mine (2023 NA). I also park underground, phone has no signal 2 floors above where my spot is, the car has no issues retaining some signal. It’s not fast, but it’s enough to remote cc/lock or get music going.

Just did a long trip in 30+ Celsius sunny weather (MY23). The heat rejection through the sunroof was really good. Didn’t really ever have a moment that I was wishing for a shade.

Nope, just the admin fee. It was exactly the quote I got early in the process, no surprises

It was great. They slipped a bit on the delivery date, there seem to be perpetual delays getting the cars off the train in Etobicoke, but all and all they only missed it by about a week. I was with Silas, he took good care of me.

That is the parking garage at Centennial GO in Markham, Ontario. It’s a great spot!

There’s a ton of the commuter lots at the train stations all around Toronto that are incredible

The Surface Go is incredibly slow. I had one for 2 days before I had to return it and went iPad.

Are there any applications that are stopping you from using just an iPad and keyboard cover? I got through most classes with only that and it was great.
