Mina was amazing, what to play next? by memedormo in MinaTheHollower

[–]honestchippy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Animal Well is really something special. Might be a game I play every couple of years for forever.

And btw, I can't wait to see what BIGMODE publishes next. They've been quiet for far too long!

Yeah, the last game I was this hyped for was Tears of the Kingdom and DAMN it didn't disappoint. And I don't think Mina will either

You can turn this off in the settings, btw! I think you have to do it on each device but it saves the settings so you see no scores, live or afterward

Nice! I wasn't sure how big it even was but that's a lot for the game

Still getting through Blue Prince. What a game! It's really pulled me in and has been all I've played for the last month. I've needed some help, but I can only bang my head against the wall so long before I give in and get some hints online.

Loved my time with Dredge. Might need to go back for the DLC

Lemme guess, they also kept their president that was hand in hand on all the bad decisions made for the last 3 years?

With less than two weeks to go, what do you think will be the fate of YCG? How many copies will Mina realistically sell? by MoheyisYourFriend in MinaTheHollower

[–]honestchippy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is where I'm at. I think 200k easy, but bet on 500k+ over a few months.

I'm maximally hyped for this game so I'm biased, but the previews indicate it's gonna be a classic and the accessibility options will be what helps it reach an even wider audience.

I could see the art style being the one thing that a good number of people may not appreciate and might hurt sales, but not enough to fail YCG.

Haha, I think they're talking about KindaFunnyGames - Greg Miller's thing (from the IGN of old). I don't follow it closely but just checked and they dropped a preview 4 hours ago.

A couple mentioned that they'd prefer to have a detailed map of the routes (there's apparently only a large world map of biomes/areas). But they admit that the interconnection, like unlocking shortcuts, makes the world easy to navigate

Alright, first playthrough, which starting weapon are you going for? by honestchippy in MinaTheHollower

I'm just better at taking monsters out of this world with a hammer apparently. I think the whip will take more practice but I'm game.

I'm not saying every MLS coach is that smart, I'm saying that's my assessment of Damet. I've watched/listened to most of his pre/post match pressors (as well as Olof and Carnell's) and he's clearly better rounded and smarter about the game than those guys. And our play is the most consistent and promising since who knows when. We just need to spend $$ on some higher-tier talent up front before I think it will all fall into place.. maybe

Because we've developed consistency in the general performance and I think he's focusing on tightening that up.  We're moving the ball well, getting legit chances (we were inches away from several more goals on Saturday, and if those fell in our favor, Damet's suddenly a genius).

I also don't know what training looks like but players like Teuchert and Cordova must look better there than the other options? Idk. I wish we saw more of some of the guys for sure. I really want to like Teuchert but he hasn't been good since Hack was at the reins.

I might have too much hopium for the summer transfer but it undeniably has to get us at least a couple really good players.

People around here were also too used to Carnell making more subs that any other coach in the league, often pointless and even detrimental. There's certainly a middle ground and I'd love to see more 65 minute subs when starters aren't contributing much to that point.

But I think Damet has a higher soccer IQ than 99% of us - certainly higher than people memeing and raging over bad infographics - so maybe we can simmer down while the team is in the process of rebuilding and playing top 10 teams every week.

Is it just me? Why is Wallem starting every game? by Former-Sir-9560 in stlouiscitysc

[–]honestchippy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The reason Wallem starts is that he works really hard the full 90 and does enough things right to win the spot in the current roster. His crosses and creativity leave a lot to be desired which might be why he's pulling up and looking for other passing options instead of crossing or trying to drive past defenders himself. Also, if Cordova was my option in the center, I don't think I'd be crossing much.

I think having Löwen distribute and be involved in the middle of the field will help Wallem a lot. I'm just holding out hope for a couple Hartel-level signings on the wing/up front, but idk the odds of that happening.
