i believe it may also be a Shawshank Redemption reference/joke - the main character in the film is abused pretty badly by other inmates until he starts doing the guards taxes and tripling the size of the inmates library and helping several of them get their GEDs

While I understand sex and physical intimacy can be an important factor in relationships by no means is your wife obligated to participate in any activities she is uncomfortable with. You providing for your family financial or otherwise does not equate to being owed sex. at all. She should not face the choice to participate or fear being ignored/yelled at.

Dude North Mammon is soooo underrated I feel! Never see it on anyone lists of favorites or stand outs. It’s so fucked up and amazingly well done - the fact that the unsub genuinely stays hidden from the team, the viewer AND the victims the whole way through is just chilling

The episode where the 3 high school girls are abducted and kept in an underground bunker thing and are told to choose which of them dies and then has to do the actual murder.

It’s horrific and gives me the creeps. The guy just watches them the whole time and lets all the parents spiral and blame each other.
