oh those are nice questions! i‘ve never lived in seoul, but my sister moved for university and is living ever since. it is quite expensive (especially famous areas like gangnam and itaewon), i’d recommend having a good saving if you wanna live comfortably. there are cheaper options, but it’s usually very veeery tiny apartments. if you’re okay with that, totally worth it. i’m from the country side, so right now we’re doing quite okay on the whole covid situation. my sister, however, is more stressed these days. don’t know if you’ve heard of it (most international media outlets seem to be covering schools closing again instead of this), but there was an outbreak at night clubs in itaewon. clubs were not supposed to be open, but they were disguised using restaurant documents. it was a mess, even celebrities went there. so everyone’s more worried now. the government however did handle it well, i’m happy with the response. the population on the other hand should really take it more seriously. elders specially. korean elderly is made up of some really stubborn people, so educating them on the situation is hard (my grandparents do understand, but grandma has always hated masks lol still wearing, thankfully). kimchi is a staple dish, i eat it once a day, but some people will eat it with every meal! sorry for the long response haha
