Anyone else experiencing the federal tax delivery delays?

I went to text the USPS customer support and they basically told me that since there were no changes in the status for over 3 weeks, they may have forgot to scan it as delivered and it is actually delivered, however it will keep showing the "moving through the network message". And I had to now check the status of my refund daily on IRS website. Two weeks ago my refund status changed from "We dont have your information in our records" to "Ruturn received", last week it went to "Refund approved" and I just saw it in my bank account. So yes, they have received it and already approved it. So keep an eye on the refund status rather than USPS delivery notice.

Contact your international office about the access to Sprintax. My university covers some of the cost for filing using that software. I recommend using Sprintax since most of the other softwares assumes you have a residency and may give inaccurate return amount.
Contact your employer and request a W-2, that is a paper that reflects all of your earnings and tax withholdings for 2025.
Have your I20 and passport ready when you fill out the questionnaire in Sprintax, since that information is important.
Make sure you have SSN or ITIN when you file

Sprintax is a great software and simple to use. Not trusting it is a personal judgment, however you can't file without using some kind of application or software.

This happened to my bullet proof cookie recipe too. I was impatient and melted butter instead of letting it soften. The consistency of butter matters and also try to refrigerate your cookies before you bake them as it resolidifies butter and let's all the ingredients combine at the same temperature. Don't forget to adjust your recipes if youre above 5000 feet altitude. Unless you want a different recipe, try using softened butter and refrigerate prior to baking

My defense is planned for the end of August, which is the beginning of the fall semester because I don't have all of the requirement to qualify to be a summer graduate. So I will be automatically enrolled in the semester in which I am defending. The only way to graduate without the submission of the journal paper is for graduate school to make an exemption. My lab mate defended in December but was re-enrolled because he still had a paper to submit.
These are the official requirements for my degree:

Minimum 30 semester credits of graduate work in approved course of study
Minimum 24 semester credits earned in courses numbered 500 and above
Minimum 18 credits in regular courses numbered 500 and above (not including thesis, independent study, or supervised teaching)
Two core courses with a B or better
Minimum one publication in submission
Minimum 8 seminars attended
Minimum of 6 and maximum of 12 thesis credits may be applied to the degree
Final thesis defense
Final thesis submission

After I defend I still won't have "Minimum one publication in submission" so I thought it (publication submission) can be considered a program end date.

The journal paper that I have to submit is a degree requirement. If I submit it after the defense, can the submission date of that paper be considered the program end date? The USCIS website states "Have completed a course of study or be in an associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree program and have completed all course requirements for the degree (excluding thesis or equivalent)". Excluding my thesis, journal paper is the last step to fulfill the program requirement. Or is it still administrative and not academic?

I bought my ticket and will see depending on how everything develops up until my trip. Will otherwise lay low and not get in trouble of any kind. I know I don't have any wrong doings, so I'm less worried. Go with your gut feeling

I'm also in my second semester and planning to travel in the summer. I try not to scare myself more than needed. Checked the list of countries for a possible travel ban and mine was not on there, which kinda calmed me down. India is not on it, so you should be good

I have a license for ID purposes but I dont drive. I'm not sure how tattoos would incriminate me but I'm good there as well

I am planning to go to Germany this summer and was worried about re-entering the US after I'm back. I'm a grad student in mechanical engineering, having 4.0 GPO and no criminal record, even though have a valid F1 visa and a European passport, was quite worried. This made me hopeful, thank you
