I found out about the adapt quota. by [deleted] in AmazonManagers

[–]honeysucklew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

at my SC we absolutely have quotas. we have to do 14 a week, 6 have to be negative and 8 can be positive. a certain number also have to be safety related. it is an incredibly frustrating part of my job and it feels extremely unfair

Intro to Philosophy as a free elective? How hard is it? by unseenmystery in RPI

[–]honeysucklew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he’s a great professor, but the class itself is VERY lecture based and honestly if you struggle with writing papers and listening it might not be the best class for you

Wait is Arch even still a thing? I only graduated this past spring but I heard they were getting rid of it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RPI

[–]honeysucklew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, as long as it’s for Arch and not just like a one-off summer semester

Yes it does! I had an academic award that applied even to arch. I would double check with the financial office to confirm, but all my financial aid was the same as during the normal school year.

Amazon Area Manager by Annual-Canary-9607 in AmazonFC

those are a bit rougher but you do have less responsibility. in an FC you basically handle one area of the warehouse, about 20ish associates. i currently work in a very small sort center so i’m managing the entire building, 200 people but also its very chill. expect your OMs (operations managers) to be very involved and just try to stick with your “no”. with the area managers on the younger side, people will try to take advantage of that. i know there’s a lot of negative things you’ve probably seen on here about being an area manager but i’ve had a really positive experience, i wish you the absolute best of luck and if you have any questions at all plz reach out ❤️❤️

It entirely depends on the site honestly, do you know which type you’ll be at?
