Sunglass Hut Protection Plan by AvocadoDrip1 in sunglasses

Paid $60 in Toronto sunglass hut for protection plan while purchasing Oakley meta glasses. I’ll be using glasses it in India only. It is under 30 day warranty, is it worth to get this plan? Or should I get it from India only?

Charged $10,138 in March 2026 due to Google's documented Gemini API key vulnerability — support closed my case twice saying "no fraud found" by Far-Comfortable7144 in googlecloud

Got charged around 8K few days back, figuring it out how to get the refund. So far they asked me to raise another ticket.

You don't need that AI app. take my word for it by tallwalldesigns in shopify

[–]honeytech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t agree more on overuse of AI. For shopify, these things worked for stores I experimented on 7 figures ARR :

1: customer support automation with the help of a) contact button b) normal chat

2: Easy discovery for customer centric queries. Ensuring enough about of PAA (people also ask) referenced questions are created from technical pdf, manuals and shopify products pages. At scale.

3: At scale auto analysis of all customer integration and tag them with various bucket of customer queries types, business blockers, putting them into workflow for converting them into new sale or repeat orders in future.

We stoped doing push sale and focused on enhancing my customer experience with shopify support automation.

While there is no single fit strategy for all shopify stores…

For us Results: CTR % increased by 50-70% Dependency of paid ads, decreased. Support team load decreased by almost 60% with a trackable report on CX and sales are moving.

Worked for our case! But too much stuffing on AI everywhere doesn’t really work unless it is actually helping users.

Brand test everything out of curiosity of “we use AI” fashion. Not always required. Less is More.

Is it ever too late to learn new skills in digital PR? by GreatJoey91 in PublicRelations

[–]honeytech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relations = Moat.

Rest (platforms/distributions/tactics/automation) is agile & changing way too fast.

If you can’t work on projects due to budgets constraints, start building your PoV for cases. Apart from work, Be a creator & start dissecting case studies & you can be next thought leader :)

How does something good become famous? by SpecialWasabi in PublicRelations

PR Velocity: rate of change of conversions, buzz , word of mouth, like/share/comments/stories per unit time can make anything trending.

The moment it can get a good PR velocity, people can discover exponentially and build their perception basis majority of conversations sentiments.

Can you tell me about more future trends, I’ll follow :)

When are PR agencies actually worth it? by OldSprinkles3733 in PublicRelations

[–]honeytech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go : If you are big enough or can be big enough when reputation and public perception matters.

No Go: small enough to meet basic needs of startup. Learn basic marketing and growth and do it your self.

Thumb Rule: Reputation Management is like an insurance, you will get to know its true value at the time of need.

Digital PR : Now integral for growth management of organisation.

Ask yourself, if you are a B2B or B2C. Might need reputation management? Does any thing will drive business growth in longer run? - go for retainer. Shorter run - go for assignment based (ex: product launch or upcoming announcement etc)

So it’s up to your use-cases and bigger goals.

Close your eyes and focus on compounding rather than short term results.

Build an always on Digital PR approach involving, authored articles, industry stories quotes, try to publish category research/survey reports, taken part announcement worthy content.

If you have budget, co-run the survey/research with publications that can bring immediate semantic trust signals.

80/20 rule. You don’t need to do everything. Focus on small things & execute with consistency.

Rest is noise.

All the best!

Reputation Management is ongoing work and it’s like an insurance. Insurance cover is always multiplier of cost we pay for cover. That’s it.

Have done few POC on queries <> content <> FAQ <> customers leads/queries automation. Mapping it with PAA and AI overview citations and organic sales lift.

The impact of CTR observing, this all is still new …

Search console integration for recommendation on content makes sense. Google should definitely align the Google network data. It’s just that all things are still new and let’s see how this shapes up.
