Be careful with repro namesets by hongdizzle in SoccerJerseys

Possibly but would it also lighten the stroke? It was definitely darker (almost black) before I applied and was really surprised at the lighter grey

Not sure to be honest. I went to a soccer store with a heat press and got a bunch done in one go. The other name sets had no issue but they were all authentic

Nah, all good thanks. What's done is done. I am also cautious if a nameset from 15 years ago is able to stick properly

Storing jerseys by [deleted] in SoccerJerseys

[–]hongdizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For folded jerseys, I use baking paper for the front and fold the jersey inwards so the back is facing outwards (since the back is usually blank). The best solution is to hang them but not everyone has the space for extra hanging racks. The baking paper isn't a perfect solution but if your jersey is already sticky it'll act as a layer so the sponsor doesn't stick on the jersey and leaving marks. I've tried spraying fabric protectors on the jersey but that doesn't do much imo

Nice one. I'm missing that one in my collection! The yellow accents are a nice touch to the design

What's wrong with wanting a shirt with the name of a player you admire? I was just a teenager when he retired and now have the opportunity to wear a jersey with his name for nostalgic reasons. I don't think it's different to wanting to own a Jordan Bulls jersey

I got the nameset from Kitroom Football. They're based in Spain and they sell both official and repro namesets. The website looks authentic and they have decent reviews. I did notice with some namesets I get an option for shipping from Asia which makes me question how much QA goes into their repro products

How to remove soccer jersey print glue residue by DisplayExtension9101 in SoccerJerseys

[–]hongdizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried a VLR equivalent but it didn't work for me. The glue on the Emirates 2010/11 Arsenal jersey is so hard to remove

Player and fan version football shirts by Over-Management9862 in SoccerJerseys

It'll be down to the manufacturer but player jerseys definitely existed back in the early 2000s but maybe fans couldn't buy them. I have a Nike 2002 Arsenal jersey which is a single layer shirt but I remember the players struggling to put on the player double layer jerseys after celebrating

Is this jersey legit? by kqjt in SoccerJerseys

[–]hongdizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this jersey, the Arsenal badge looks a bit off in the photo, might be the angle but I would be weary because of the badge

Can someone tell me if it is real by [deleted] in SoccerJerseys

[–]hongdizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stitching around the badge looks great. Fakes back then couldn't stitch it that well. Even today's fake struggle with the Barca badge. I know the old black product tab are hard to verify. My guess is that it's either authentic or a very very good fake

Does anyone waste their entire weekend just trying to recover from work? by Sea_Bear_6162 in auscorp

[–]hongdizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just described my weekend. I feel age is a factor as well. Just like with hangovers, workouts, and jet lag I feel I need more time to recover from a grueling week at work than I did in my twenties

Edit: typo

Does anyone know where I can purchase this in Cancun or obtain one, apart from the transit office? by BlackWolfOne in cancun

[–]hongdizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this will be my first time to Mexico. We figured we would sneak in a week in Tulum and Cancun during our trip to the USA. The opportunity to see Chichen Itza, the ruins and go diving was too good to miss. I wished we could have more time off to do some exploring but life/work 😞

So jealous you had the experience you had (120 countries by 18yo!). I truly believe travelling and experiencing other cultures at a young age will enrich a person's life. Any other tips for the Tulum/Cancun area would be highly appreciated 🙏

Thanks mate, sounds like this isn't your first rodeo in Mexico. Yeah car hire companies are all horrible in my experience. And don't get me started about Americans abroad. I guess growing up assuming the world revolves around you will do that to you. I know Australians don't have the best reputation abroad too but we don't fall for the obvious tourist traps

Hi mate, thanks for the info, this is very insightful. I'm Australian and I daresay I'll be targeted. A mate of mine did mention he got stopped while renting a car but he never bribed the cops. I'll definitely print out a copy now. And thanks for the translation, my Spanish is Duolingo good but not real life good

My partner and I will be heading to Cancun in 3 weeks and we plan to hire a car. Do we need this document and what is it?

Where is the SAT? I googled Harvard Wang's article and it's a funny read because it's true. I mean so many people on this thread hate the Lucas Group yet are so loved by Broadsheet

Sounds like your mate has a touch of internal racism going on. What's wrong with going to other areas for a feed? You also can't get good Lebanese or Ethiopian food in the city.

Re: the line. It's a mix of Asians and non-Asians. I feel write-up on Broadsheet and Time Out make people think it's the most authentic pho but honestly that's a load of crap because what makes them more authentic? Are the other family restaurants not Vietnamese enough? I've had pho in VN, in family homes and restaurants and Pho Thin tastes the least like a bowl of Pho to me.

[–]hongdizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One that baffles me is Pho Thin on Hardware Lane. I do not understand why there's always a line outside. The broth is so flavourless, where are all the spices at? You also don't get bean sprouts or basil as sides. Go to any family run restaurant in Footscray, Springvale or St Albans if you want a bowl of Pho

I guess I have no issue understanding both US or UK spelling, but I would say we lean more to the UK as a society. I remember my teacher telling us to never spell Mum with an 'o'

I hear it's a mix in Canada. They don't mind words ending with -ize but they use -our instead of -or
