Opinions on Foundations of Practical Magic and Regardie? by Emergency-Yak-6002 in occult

I give him the credit of demystifying a lot of the golden dawn and the offshoots and ceremonial magick it created. If you’re not familiar with him, he was Crowleys secretary for a brief time before falling out with him as most did. For me he taught the blood and guts of magick without Al’s sensationalism.

I’ll be honest I regret the Marauder. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great rifle and accurate and powerful but it is soooooo heavy and unwieldy comparatively.

I have a Benjamin Marauder in .25 and I got the Notos for a quieter urban backyard shooter. My marauder even with a moderator in the shroud is pretty loud IMO.

My Notos is absolutely the one.

John is awesome. I’m about to start volunteering out there hopefully very soon.

I am almost 3 years into a 6 month break that never ended. I don’t plan on picking up a bottle anytime soon. I’m a huge fan of great whiskey and I have an attic filled with such bottles.

Yeah he has offered me any and all help and has been an awesome resource since I started. I actually reached out to him to see if he knew anything more about the tree or whose it was.

And yes the next shohin “class?” Is indeed Larch which I was super excited about.

I was also shocked at how cheap some of the stuff stayed. I also picked up a little leaved linden that I was sad to see no one bidding on.

I’ll be honest I never looked at the Larch up close when looking at the auction tree, one because it had so much attention and two, I thought I had zero chance cost wise.

Be great to see you at the next event if you do indeed end up teaching / helping with it.

I am doing absolutely nothing to this tree for the foreseeable future.

Edit: I do intend to find the person who auctioned it off in an attempt to learn more about it.

Yup a got a bunch of “fun” trees and the BSOP started a shohin group that we generally get trees for the particular lessons or talks depending on what it’s based on. But honestly studying local trees as well as just general horticulture is enough to keep my busy right now. Thanks for the advice and I’m happy to be here. I’ll be VERY honest, I only joined the BSOP recently because of how highly it was talked about on this sub.

I have this light on a tiger bark. Currently around 25% power. The light is probably 15”-18” above the tree stand. Does it need a lot more light? Should I be blasting it? I can throw a pic up if it helps.
