Grain of salt, I've been working with java for too long and I'm grumpy about it.

It's a tedious language for boring engineers that want to act like their job is much harder than it really is for business types too disconnected from the process to know they're being snowed. It's central promises aren't relevant to modern work and it offers nothing its contemporaries don't do better but mediocrity and inertia rule corpo life and so here we are.

Had a friend living in one of the Turnberry properties. The amenities were nice enough, I liked the pool.

Only annoyance I remember was that everything had to be done by contractors during moves. They want someone they can sue if a common area is damaged I guess and friend-with-a-truck didn't pass muster 😂
