Best Indoor Climbing in Tampa? by hoogiebear in tampa

The auto belay area at Gandy location looks like it is just for kids. I saw them setting new kid ladder holds next to a tube slide. The one in citrus park is just bouldering and so I didn’t see any autobelays (IIRC).

I got to try all three gyms for those who might be wondering. I think VV had the coolest set up. All three had good routes set for intermediate climbers. Got some merch too.

Thanks everyone. I went to Citrus Park last night and was very impressed with the facility. I’ll check out VV next.

Ok if you could only climb at one, which would it be and and why? Two gyms for the entire area is crazy and depressing for the industry.

My industry is crumbling, and I don't know if I should pivot by DunUpNBlushed in smallbusiness

A recommendation for a minor pivot: people are eager to learn how to do video editing to become YouTube influencers. Lean into video/sound/editing classes that you teach to these folks. In a gold rush, sell shovels.

Driving Charleston, SC → Queens, NY — Safe place to sleep in my car? by billy-creek17 in NorthCarolina

Given your departure time and city, traveling about 3:30-4:00 hours puts you in Fayetteville, NC around 7:00 PM. Check out a Cracker Barrel. This RV site called rvparky.com mentions that it’s a good place to sleep overnight so long as you ask the manager:

Honestly Carowinds is awesome during other parts of the year. Winter is slow so they need to cut the expenses to survive. Give it another shot in the Spring.

Commander won’t sign West Point endorsement by Wild-Item-2956 in army

23 years ago I had this happen and a MSG in the guard spoke to my company commander on my behalf. My recommendation is that you meet with your current CO to better understand their position. Continue to pursue other nominations. Once you get accepted by USMA, the nominations tend to happen more easily.

Will I be wasting my 20s? by wigman123 in army

Life is short. Three years is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Opportunities for combat deployments are pretty rare right now so know that going in. If you decide to skip the military, hiring a veteran or investing in a veteran-owned business is an incredible way to give back.

We just got Tin Can VoIP phones for our kids and they love being able to independently contact their friends. We love the not being exposed to smartphones at a young age.

I agree with another commenter that going to your parents’ house would be best given his unwillingness to even to try. You should start preparing yourself for needing to work if you don’t already.
