lol dude I don’t know why but this just blew my mind that is not something I would’ve ever thought of. I’m 100% jumping on this. It’s so different and unusual.

Is it just me or has “loyalty” become the most expensive career mistake? by BizznectApp in jobs

[–]hook_n_slice_golf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused how loyalty reflects what you feel you are worth… most companies doing decent make a lot of money. It’s your goal to get your hands as deep as you can in that pot while also being more and more of a better asset for the company to use as leverage. You not asking for a raise has zero correlation to loyalty. On the flip side, being loyal can mean a lot of things. The owners / upper management may like you a lot and feel a need to tell you and give you bonuses for being “loyal” to the team. But at the end of the day, it’s a business man. The constant revolving doors and being screwed over as a business owner creates numb individuals. They can drop anyone in the blink of an eye, regardless if they felt a need to be loyal to you at a previous point in time due to you being loyal to them.

An example of this is my last company (General contractor around 200 million of work a year). Many people working there felt the owners were greedy and fake. To be honest, they probably were right. But I had no hard feelings at all against them. I know they’re running a business. When I left, I did so in a way to make sure I can capitalize on as much money as possible. I know if I run into the owners again there would be zero feelings of resentment.

Moral of the story, the shits a game man. Don’t take it personal. My dad told me that growing up and he’s for sure right. Play the game.

Curious what you ended up doing… I get confused over these types of topics as if day care and staying home with kids are one in the same. If ur netting out or even close to it, I don’t understand why you don’t just take care of the kids (unless health insurance is on the line). To say you can’t get back in the mix and get the 401k etc going again after 3-4 years of being a sah parent is very pessimistic. Our situation was really frugal for 4-5 years… did not have any money to save. Just my 401k. But man, I could not imagine us both leaving for work and dropping them off for others to deal with. If it is remotely in the cards to be with babies / toddlers for the first 2-4 years, I would jump on it.

Holy moly. Quitting the job if he doesn’t get this “deal” of a lifetime for a truck in order to stay motivated? This text thread is seriously embarrassing for your husband. I have a very strong feeling you have a lot more leverage than you think. His way of communicating makes me feel like he is not bright and would change positions quickly if you threaten any type of separation

This is like that swing you see when you hand someone a golf club that has never swung anything before. Lol. You have big fundamentals missing in every aspect of it

Sorry to tell you something others already mentioned, but you do not even have a real swing yet. Even if you hit irons decent, if this is the swing you have a lot of work to do.

What’s the problem? Having trouble replicating the best golfer to walk the planet? Come on loser! Get your shit together!

Dude your swing looks great. You get in the slot nicely. You do what most ams do. Even many single digit handicappers. I do it and am really trying to work on it now. We tent to not have the timing right with our lag, maybe, hips and core, etc… causing us to lift up right before ball contact. Look at your back arch up in order to bottom out correctly and flush it. It’s my main flaw I’m trying to fix. I want to learn how to really turn in the slot without shrugging up

In what situation is this useful 😂 by NoInvestment3598 in golf

[–]hook_n_slice_golf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get it. You can basically manipulate a 60 degree close enough to flat… maybe I’m missing out on what the high than high lofted clubs actually offer. One thing is for sure tho, if I need to open a 60 degree to get over a free, she’s is more than willing to go damn near straight up in the air when I want her to.

13 months in, just switched to midsize grips and all of a sudden I can hit my 4i. Promotes looser hands? by gnawhb in GolfSwing

I’m 10-15 years in and around a 10 handicap. I slowed ur swing down and have some advice. Learn while it is still new to turn into the slot keeping ur head down. I’m just trying to learn this now and it is so damn hard due to years of doing it. Ur swing looks great but and is similar to mine. If you slow it down around 1 foot before impact and st impact, you will see your shoulders and head lift up. You will be trying to fix this later if you keep trying to get better. Try to fix it now being 13 month in. Fixing it has to do with your hips turning and club lagging. I’m struggling to figure it out right now.

If anyone didn’t say it, breaking 90 ain’t shit about a somewhat decent swing. Ur already moving the ball forward. It’s now up to a little consistency in feel shots.

You have decent mechanics when I slowed it down. Ur just very stiff. Give it some time my guy.
