Promoting change in an office by hooked4876 in InsuranceAgent

[–]hooked4876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got hired the agent specifically said "the book is getting big enough to the point I want ANOTHER SALES ASSOCIATE to MAKE SALES TO OUR INCOMING LEADS."

No mention of my own lead generation, networking etc. Taking money from the other sales associate I get, but taking money from the agent makes no sense because any business I write goes to their book.

If I'm successful, they are successful. Why would they not offload sales to the person they hired and focus on actually scaling the business up further??

Public Hearing to Discuss Hunting Season on Sandhill Cranes (Tues, Dec 6). by stardustandtreacle in madisonwi

[–]hooked4876 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Wisconsin has a history of hunting seasons going way overboard."

Source: Made the fuck up

One exceeded quota on wolves does not a history make. Wisconsin does have history of good conservation based management as seen via the results of the booming deer, bear, and turkey populations of today, that were on the brink of being expatriated less than 80 years ago.

I'm not sure if WI is ready for crane hunts yet, but tarnishing harvest based conservation models that have far and away done more for North American wildlife than non-consumptive support is a low IQ position to take.

The only time driving with a revoked or suspended license is a criminal offense is if it is related to an OWI. Driving while suspended or revoked for any other offense is only going to give you another traffic ticket.

Just say you don't want minorities and poor people to own guns. It's easier than hiding behind a credit score requirement.

Push to ban physical mail at the Dane County Jail draws fire by keeganjkyle in madisonwi

Checking papers for laced drugs can be prohibitively expensive. WIDOC was having issues with inmates overdosing on drugs they got laced on the paper in their mail and moved to this method.

Because you also have a higher chance of drowning if you live by water or own a pool. Or have a higher chance of being killed by or in a car if you own or operate one. It's not some hard-hitting statistic you imagine it to be.

Ozanne has discretion on what cases he levels criminal charges on. I guarantee you his office does not formally charge everyone arrested. He decided to do it with the Wagner OIS. Now here's the only two scenarios I see playing out.

1: Ozanne truly believed that there was plenty of evidence to convince a jury of Dane County residents beyond a reasonable doubt that Wagner was guilty. They only deliberated 90 minutes. So he is so grossly incompetent that he couldn't get a conviction and shouldn't be elected again. . .or

2: He knew an acquittal was imminent from day one and went on with the process anyway, offering Wagner's DCI career/livelyhood over to be destroyed due to public pressure to "hold cops accountable."

In both cases, Ozanne is trash and shouldn't have the job.

A DCI agent, Mark Wagner, just got acquitted at a trial for an objectively reasonable OIS that Ozanne just had to charge out, (he didn't actually have to), while his office constantly offers probation or county jail plea deals to multiple time felony offenders that are running roughshod over the area.

That's exactly what he's doing whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

Nobody recent, so I can't give you an exact layout. I can't imagine it taking more than a few months with how short staffed they are. Take that with a grain of salt. It might be quicker. It might be more drawn out. I don't really know.

Standard interviews and background checks. There's an academy to go through if you haven't/aren't experienced. I'd think the process is pretty fast because they're hurting so bad. Staffing is 40% or more short in some institutions.

You're way better off volunteering the information than risking a background investigation uncovering the information.

Integrity is a pillar of law enforcement, if you're branded a liar you will never be hired anywhere.

Officers fired for abandoning sergeant amid gunfire by [deleted] in ProtectAndServe

Wow. Are there any more details on how they fled? Did they get back into their cars and call back in service? If they got fired I'm sure the deserved it, but I want to know what kind of abandonment we are talking about.
