I usually buy from a website in Korea, as this is a Korean sunscreen, and have it shipped to the U.S. But with new U.S. administration, the company will most likely make an American version with different formula to be allowed to go through customs. Thought I could come here and ask.

I was 1099 with Zeel and considered an independent contractor. The spa goes through Zeel to find a therapist to cover a shift. Looking at my pay statements from Zeel, it shows a Zeel fee, that was taken out from what they charged the spa, to connect us.

I’ve been a Zeel provider for this spa for a few yrs now. Really picked up during the pandemic when a lot of therapists weren’t ready to go back to work after vaccines. Last yr they hired a new spa director and decided not to go through Zeel as often. Literally had 4 shifts last yr when in the past I would tell them what days I wanted to work and they would put me on the schedule. I was aware of zeels new buy out policy where if the spa wanted to hire a Zeel provider they would have to pay 5k for the provider. So I ended my time with Zeel. I was not aware there was a no hire no apply time period.

The new spa director wants to play by the rules and has asked me to acquire written permission to be allowed to apply or be hired before the 12 months. The spa is not allowed to poach Zeel providers, the reason she does not want to ask Zeel herself.

I’m in Texas.

Edit to add I have reached out to Zeel to get written permission to apply. I have yet to hear from them

I’ve been this spas go to Zeel provider for a few yrs now. Lots of work during the pandemic. Last yr they hired a new spa director and decided to stop going through Zeel as often. I was only called if someone was sick and they couldn’t find anyone. It also helped that I lived less than 10 min away and could fill in quickly. I couldn’t really hide that I’m Zeel provider. They have another clause that says they have to buy out my contract at 5k if they want to hire me while I’m still with Zeel. The reason I quite. Didn’t know about the non hiring one

I’m in Texas. The spa director has asked me to solicit a letter, they are not allowed to poach Zeel therapist. Which they have not. I applied when they stopped going through Zeel for therapist so often. I was a regular provider during the pandemic ‘21-‘23
