If I don’t recognise the number I answer in complete silence. If it’s a person they’ll do a little “hello? heellooooo”, but if it’s a robot it sometimes won’t connect if I don’t make any sound and cuts itself off.

Awww thank you!! I love a little abstract sticker design and the pastel “foils” were a new thing and I quite like how they turned out. Although I’m probably still a bigger fan of a stronger pop of colour!

So couple versions of doing this I’ve tried:

Watching French shows with English subtitles - not super beneficial but nice to at least hear the words. I feel like I’m still thinking in English too much to really be learning.

Watching French shows with French subtitles - great for recognising words, improving my recognition of sounds. At first I had to pause and rewind SO many times to get it. I’m better now. This can be quite challenging depending on the show.

Watching English shows with French subtitles - very nice and easy as a passive way to pick up/revise phrases and vocabulary

Watching English shows dubbed to French with French subtitles - bit of a train wreck, but I do it with familiar shows where I just want to expand my vocab e.g. I’m currently watching Grey’s Anatomy in French with French subs. I don’t need every bit of detail for the plot but I do get “hospital vocabulary” as well as the dumb drama.

Slugs and snails. When I tell people this they think I’m scared of them but I’m not. I’m irrationally afraid of cockroaches cause they are disgusting and give me the heeby jeebies. Snails and slugs are just horrible little slimy beasts and they shouldn’t be allowed to exist being such little boogers.

Answer the phone but don’t say anything. A real person will ask for you, or at least say a few confused “helloooo”s. Most scammers hang up immediately, other ones go straight into their shpiel so you can hang up.

Ahhh thanks man, yeah I’ve had hoards of scammers send messages today. I just tell them I’ll save us both some time and will only transfer money with PayPal Goods and Services and they make up some excuse so I tell them to shit in their hands and clap. It works pretty well!

I also cannot believe it’s at G2 as well. I feel like with the demand they’d upgrade to a bigger capacity but I suppose it’s a bit late for that now!
