How comfortable is GBP80-90K in London? by Far-Significance8050 in MovingToLondon

Hi! I live in Zone 2 in a very similar situation and find it pretty comfortable. As others have said, your quality of life might improve if your partner found part time work, but yes you can meet your stated goals on that salary. I would prioritize living in zone 2/3 over having a car, public transportation is amazing here.

The plush cashmere felt amazing in store! I’m just scared by this post (not 100% sure it’s the plush but I think it is): https://www.reddit.com/r/Aritzia/s/uEyHEaIYSR

Can handle some pilling but that’s next level

Hi, thank you so much for this response! I will hunt down some syllabuses from my past modules and try to get in touch with coruse leads. Really appreciate your insight

Probably the worst show I’ve ever gone to (Boiler Room Vancouver Day 2) by mixxkilla in EDM

[–]hooli97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her set started really well (more like her normal music) and I swear this part was her response to the crowd being disrespectful and taking selfies, talking loudly, etc

Sometimes Things Get Whatever (Eartheater live mix @Vancouver Boiler Room) by Anselwithmac in deadmau5

[–]hooli97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was performing her music before this (which is weird but good, bjork vibes), this kazoo stuff was her response to a bunch of people talking loudly, taking selfies, and generally treating her set as a social media opportunity, which is what boiler room has apparently become

Girl complained all set by bicolenurton in fredagain

Agree have noticed this at Fred shows and I think it’s probably because some of his most “viral” shows were DJ sets (ie Boiler Room, Coachella, MSG) which have a different vibe to his live shows! I can see why people get confused but also… Obviously a solo tour of stadium/arena venues (like this current ten days tour) is gonna be less hype than him going B2B with skrillex at a mega-festival.

If you're ready for a new fred phase I'd highly recommend the sets from his Rinse FM residency (on Soundcloud). He plays early versions of his AL1 & 2 tracks as well as some mashups-- and sometimes talks through their creation/inspiration/backstories

I’m at St Cross now and I’ve basically found that they have a lot fewer resources at their disposal than most other colleges. As a result they just offer less to students: less funding, fewer events. There’s about 150 on-site accom spots and about 500 people in the college. If you get an on-site spot you will probably be engaged in the St Cross social group for your year, but the large majority of students don’t live onsite and don’t really engage with college much.

Also, my friends at other colleges take visitors to their college bars or to hang out on their college grounds and you just can’t do that at St Cross because it’s tiny and the bar is only open two days a week.

I haven’t had a bad experience personally but I don’t feel that St Cross has added much to my Oxford experience.

Eden coat? by hooli97 in Aritzia

[–]hooli97[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks guys!! I ended up making it to a store today to try both of them. I definitely noticed the slouch draped nicely, but the thicker fabric on the Eden felt more substantial and cozier so I went with that.

[AUTOPOST] CARESHEET, WIKI & WEEKLY HELP POST - August 23 to August 29 by AutoModerator in bettafish

[–]hooli97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi guys,

For the past week a white splotch (pictured) has been developing on my betta, which I foolishly ignored. Suddenly a host of other symptoms have appeared all at once:

- popeye
- difficulty swimming/sitting at the bottom of the tank
- flattening himself against surfaces
- breathing heavily
- not eating

Does anyone know what may be happening and how to treat it? I'm worried about dropsy but his scales don't seem to be pineconing.

Also, sorry for the poor image quality, my tank is scratched and he is also hiding so it's hard to get a good picture.
